As i understand the reason we didnt get Hooper was because Scu*thorpe didnt have enough time to find a replacement. So why dont they get someone in on loan when the loan market opens next Tuesday then we could loan him and buy him in January when the transfer window opens. No reason why the club couldnt follow this avenue. SIMPLES.............

we
well the only thing we can be sure of is we wont get hooper we dont realise that clubs wont sell strikers cheaply we could have got simon cox but wouldnt match his valuation now the club that bought him are sitting top of the division
we are destined to stay in this division untill we can get strikers

I know Beckfords agent who is Nick Rubbery and he has told me that Newcastle is his preferred choice of clubs. We should still be looking for another striker and also be looking to offload some of the fringe players or the players that need to boost there fitness/confidence.

Also, Bates wont let him go cheap now because if he takes £3M now and Leeds dont get promoted because of it, it would cost them 5 times that figure.Your mum would love me...

Have your ever thought that if Leeds do get promoted he would stay on a superb salary as there will be a massive signing on fee ?

He is only free to talk to foreign clubs in January, English clubs have to wait until the end of his contract.
Either way, he would still play out the rest of the season and Leeds/Bates will hope to win promotion. Going up will be worth far more than £3-5M now.
Although disappointed, they will not care too much if he then left on a free. As a CCC side their income will be far greater and the chance to attract big names back to Leeds will be easier.
Of course, they could have taken the money now and spent it on strengthening the squad, but sometimes new signings fail to fit in.

Have suggested the same plan myself. Only problem is not sure you are allowed outside the main transfer window to loan players with a view to buy later - anyone know?
