  • Redknapp = Mr Contradiction

After the draw at West Ham, Redknapp spoke live on Talksport to 'The Moose' (grrr). "Don't you worry, we'll definitely stay up."

Down the line, now it's, “If we kept that team here next season, we wouldn’t finish in the top half of the Championship."

What tripe, blaming the players as usual rather his his own shortcomings.

I'd like to know how a club that, under the guidance of two of the most respected managers in the game in Hughes and Redknapp, can take a team that survived relegation in 2011/12, spend millions on new players to improve, only to fail so miserably with a dramatic reduction in goals and points, ending bottom of the league.

    I just don't get it!

Yes, it wasn't easy, but we managed it with games to spare

He was hardly going to say after that game, we don't stand a chance now was he. I think most fans knew we were struggling to stay up but him stating that would hardly have helped the situation............the reason we are relegated is very squarely down to the players, they have let 2 managers down and more importantly the owner. We had 4 points in December so was always going to be up against it.

HR was always going to say thoses things before we were relegated as you need to try and give the team confidence. But anyone who has has been this year could see after 5 or 6 games that MH had totally unbalance the side. Didn't bring in the right defenders, not enough strikers and the ones we had were all injury prone and TOTALLY destroy any team spirit and RIPPED the soul and togetherness out of the club between the players and the fans, unlike the additions he made last Jan.

I agree HR made mistakes, but our issues now went far deeper than what MH inherited and anyone who was at the Newcastle game can see there still there. We have a few players with team spirit, we have a few players with PRIDE, we have a few players who CARE. The others showed nothing but contempt for the Club, the owners and the Fans, and unless we can get them out of the club and bring in players like the few we have at the club who ARE professionals HR is right, we are closer to doing a Wolves.

        IMO -

The OP has hit on it. MH and HR are respected managers yet still couldn't get results with this squad. The blame lies primarily with the players, but a lot of blame should lay with MH because he brought the majority of these players in. The squad balance also, as HR quite rightly pointed out, was all wrong. HR tried to rebalance the squad as best he could by bringing in Samba and Remy but it wasn't enough.

Still, hopefully during the summer HR can sort this squad out.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I don't see relegation as a bad thing. It gives us a chance to rid a lot of the under performing high earners and start again with younger championship level British players with point to prove.

I haven't enjoyed the past two seasons bar the odd game. Give us a team of less ability but hard working in a lower league than the dross who've been paid handsomely to underperform anyday.

Now we're relegated Harry can be honest about the whole thing. He could hardly turn around with points to play for and say this lot are **** could he.

Wish people would get off his back and let him get on with it.

Problem i see Supahoopsaa is who will want them, if i was any kind of manager or chairman i would flatly refuse these players as they are all poisonous and will only bring problems. They way they behaved in my eyes have damaged the remainder of their careers as anyone trying to build anything would touch them with a bardage poll.

I hope i am wrong and you are right but I cant see us shipping out enough of these "scum" or "Fraudsters" depending how you look at it, to bring enough of the quality we need to have the balance and characters to mount a challenge.

              Here to u being right

Got to get behind HR none of this mess is his making. Yes, we would have hoped he could turn it around but probably nobody could have, there was already so much damage done. If we get rid of Bosingwa, Park, M'Bia, Granero, Cesar, Remy, Bothroyd and build a team around Green, Onuoha, Samba, Jenas, Diakite, Taarabt, Hoilett i think we could be ok. The key thing that will either make us or break us next season will be getting rid of absolutely all the cancerous money grabbing f*cks that have brought shame on our club over the last two years. Lets give HR a chance to do that before criticizing him, he sees the players every day and probably knows who needs to go better than anyone else.

Cheers Bigears. I know it'll probably cost those paying to keep the club afloat to offload some or most of this lot, fortunately it's not my pocket. Can see some of them being giving a payoff to **** off. Hopefully it'll be an expensive lesson learnt by Tony an co. Then as previously stated get a young hungry British squad to build around those they decide to keep.

Until we have the training ground and stadium worthy of these so called big signings I can't see the past two seasons transfer activities being reciprocated ever again. And rightly so. Players coming from top clubs Madrid United etc on top wedge training at Harlington and playing at LR is demotivating whatever they're being paid.
