  • We're spoilt

Some of the stuff I've read tonight is unbelievable.

Club have sold us a pup on several things - season tickets, lick of paint round the ground and other things.

We've got a couple of ITKs who big things up and get people excited.

BUT the crap I've read is laughable. Get your cheque book out, sign him, sign that. I know nothing about signing players but am sure it ain't that easy. You'd think we're a massive club. We're a small club in west London who has got some rich owners.

Can't we stay positive and see with Simpson and the Ginger one that we've strengthened our squad considerably.

I can't wait to see them play. What a selection headache for Magilton. And it's a massive move on from where we were a couple of years back.

It's not perfect by any long stretch of the imagination but we have a squad that has great strength in depth.

Enjoy the ride and stop being such a bunch of bellends. And stop the moaning. G'night.

Good post... And in regards to our strikers. I'd much rather see Simpson upfront with Helguson than the forward duo of Nardiello and Marc Nygaard which was the front two just 3 years ago! Quite a way we've come...

Its not that people are being spoilt, its the fact the expectations have been raised. Flavio has talked a lot but not done a lot, i remember him saying he wanted champo league-well that aint gonna happen.

Im afraid the blame lies with the owners and the expectation they have created-not the fans

Did we really believe that we were going to be playing Champions League in four years? Come on.

The club and the ITKs hyped things up, but people who should know better lapped it all up. Surely some of us have been round the block a few times to realise that this isn't gonna happen.

And surely we also realise now that they're not going to splash the cash now. I find it funny when people say they are shocked we didn't throw a load of money round y/day. We have had two years to show that they weren't going to do that. We know their style and am afraid we're gonna have to accept it.

Others are saying we aren't clicking as a unit. I agree. But a forward or a left back ain't gonna do that. It's a midfield general a bit like the ginger one who will make things happen. I don't wanna do the other thing that people do on this board - but I really do think Watson is the missing link who could gee our side up and get us winning matches.

I'd love a striker and full back but I'm pretty pleased with our squad as it stands.

i don't think it's a case of the ITK hyping things up, sure they want to be the 1st to tell us who's coming/going but that's because they want to share what they've heard, if no-one wanted to here a rumour you wouldn't log on to this site

Basic economics: you ned to offload some before you can bring anymore in... I know people are disappointed we haven't bought a proven striker, and I am too. However it isn't always easy to do that. It takes a club being willing to sell, the player to want to move to this area and his family agree, it takes a lot of wrangling...

This site, in my eyes, is a bit of fun. Yeah we can rant etc, but mostly on the rumours thing is adds a bit of fun. Some of them come off, most don't, but that's the nature of forums like this. If you want cast iron news go to the official website.

The loan market is open, and if we can offload some of our playrs I am sure we would bring in more. And then there is January...

I am looking forward to seeing how things go.

I agree that it is difficult to bring in new forwards without offloading current ones.

Perhaps QPR could have tried to sign Hooper two or three weeks ago and offered Helguson or Agyemang in part exchange (similar to the Govt' Car Scrappage deal), although maybe the club did try.

I do agree, that we fans have been fed a lot of spin by the club and ITKs, but overall, we are in a far healtier position than we were in August 2007 (that's right, it is just 2 years since the club almost went broke and had a squad made up of the likes of Cullip, Bignot, Curtis, Rehman, Barker, Nardiello, Moore, Bailey & Nygaard.

I don't know about other fans, but I know where I prefer to be.

As for now, if they gel, Faurlin and Watson could be QPR's new Francis and Masson, Buzsaky (Bowles), Routledge (Thomas) Simpson (Givens) and we also have Taarabt, Rowlands and Vine (if he recovers).

Post of the day. What type of cars do you think Helguson or Agyman would be?

Unfortunately, my son in law isn't a QPR fan, however he has said that he would love to have Watson, Routledge, Simpson or Helgason at Portsmouth because they are great players that should excel at this level. We need to capitalise now.
