  • Redknapp presser

    - Most of the lads are fit, Samba struggling with his hamstring.
    - Talked about Fergie and Moyes.
    - We won't roll over for Newcastle, we'll give it our best shot, best available team will be picked.
    - Wigans result has made life difficult for them, Toon should be ok.
    - There needs to be changes pre season if we're going to give it a real go next season.
    - Getting players out will be difficult, but we're not going to give them away. Wants players who will give their all for the club.
    - Change is needed, to freshen up the squad after a tough season, won't be easy, we have players that lots of clubs will be interested in.
    - Bircham would be a good choice to take over at Millwall if they want him, great lad who loves coaching.
    - Cant understand why Mbia did what he did, he should spend more time practising than tweeting.
    - Lots of things changing in he summer with regards to discipline. Maybe had to pu$$y foot around certain players this season because of the situation the club was in.
    - If we get the good lads Harry wants in, they will improve the feeling around the place and the dressing room.
    - "I want a disciplined football club next season and that's what I will have".
    - You need good characters in the dressing room. We have some, but we have some dysfunctional ones too.

Once the season is over Harry won't f@ck about, he'll shift the wasters and bring in some good players.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

"I want a disciplined football club next season and that's what I will have".

To me, this is why it's slightly unfair to judge Harry on this year. He inherited a squad in a bit of a mess and whilst he brought a few of his own in, he generally had to deal with what he had - it included long term injured, people with attitude and some who were clearly knocked by Hughes' management style.

Give H the time to put his own discipline/rules/methods into his own squad and then judge him. I love the bit I underlined - it tells me that he will be in charge of the decisions, he will get his own way and then, he will have to account for what ever happens. And, no doubt he will, good or bad.

I got excited watching it, because Harry really seems focused on getting the right attitude in the dressing room. His hands have been tied this year, but if we're honest this has been something that has plagued the club for a long time. Warnock remedied it somewhat with players like Mackie, Hill, Smith and Derry but our high turnover rate meant even in the Championship we had a disproportionate number of rotten apples.
