Anyway, we have strikers on the books who are more than good enough for the Championship. Bothroyd scored for fun for Cardiff when we got promoted last time, DJ scored for fun on loan this season, AJ if fit would be very good in that league. Zamora's a waste of space though. In addition, Mackie would score goals, Adel would score goals and depending who stays i'm sure the likes of Hoilett and SWP would be good in that league also.

Our fans really need to get out of the mindset of spending fortunes on players, especially now.

bothroyd is good. zamora will be out for upto 8 months. dj cambells contract runs out this summer and is highly unlikely to be renewed.

swp is a winger and mackie is shyte. hoilett will not be with us next season.

la fondra 2mil gayle 1.5mil matt philips free would be great signings and is exactly what is need at our club.

We do have decent Championship level strikers at the club - but to get another automatic I would like to strengthen as Remy will be gone and decent may well mean 7th place or losing in the play-offs. No use being "decent" if that is where we end up.

Will Boothroyd be as good as before? Wait and see. Mackie - yes decent at that level, but there are far better than him in that division and we should aim to match or better the best while we have the parachute payments. For automatic I would like better than JM. Campbell - still got it? Not sure. AJ - can't rely on that at all. Zammo - not sure he will have the desire and motivation in the Championship.

We may find the issue with these players is that they could be a little disillusioned with the club.

La Fondre could be a decent shout, but Matt Phillips is not available on a free as Blackpool have taken up the 1 year option on his and Ince's contracts.

I wouldn't mind QPR trying to sign Austin, but would also like to sign Gayle.
Rhodes only joined Blackburn and is not likely to be sold.
So for me, the forwards would be: Bothroyd, plus 2 from Austin, Gayle or La Fondre, but I would also give Skapetis a chance.

QPR could be selling Remy (6M), Mbia (2M), Granero (3M), Cesar (1M), Hoilett (2.5), Park (.5M), Cisse (1.5M), Ferdinand (1m), Barton (1M), SWP (0.5M) and perhaps Samba (9M) and or Diakite (1.5) and bring in about £25-30M. This would give them a bit of funding to buy 2 decent Championship strikers and a 2 or 3 defenders, a keeper and perhaps 2-3 midfielders from other Championship or League 1 clubs to add to those still at QPR.

QPR could also sell Taarabt if he wants to go.
