    What a day!

am i mad for feeling slightly positive, that we are depressed about entering a league that we were over the moon about less than 10 years ago?

What a top top day out ....including back to Oneils in leicester square !!!

Got to say in my 40 odd years of supporting the hoops my best ever away day was Sheff Wed promotion and best ever home game was Oldham at home in the play offs ..........Premiership .............Not proper football with proper atmosphere !!!!

What kind of a f ucked league are we leaving where the world and his wife are creaming themselves over who will finish 4th !!!!

Very true Maddix, or the fact clubs now sacrifice the chance of silverware in favour of finishing 4th, or for being so desperate to stay in the division. Will Wigan care more about the final or the Arsenal match....? It is a sorry state of affairs really that means everything is abiout the money and not the glory anymore.

As for our promotion all those years ago, it was without question my favourite away day. 9000 Rangers fans going mental, never will be forgotten. Loved it. Was also great on the drive home becasue all the Bristol Rovers fans were travelling south same as us and cheering QPR fans for preventing Bristol City getting promotion. Great day.

I got married October that year and actually said in the speech that people say your wedding day is the biggest day in your life, but after seeing QPR get promotion at Hillsborough it wasn't even the biggest day of that year....

                  Haha, yeah, worst luck!

My opening line was... "This is obviously a time of great celebration... QPR have won 5 leagues games in a row and are currently 4th in the Championship table"

I think my best memory of that day was driving back down the M1 and passing loads of Bristol Rovers coaches. They saw our shirts, and all stood up and applauded us. I presume becuase 1) Ian Holloway had been their manager and 2) we stopped bristol city going up.

we were lucky that we were playing the team with the largest away end so we could take so many supporters , love the dvd when olly gets a couple of supporters to tell the team before the game what promotion would mean to them , kind of feel the club belonged to us in those days
