Mark Hughes anyone? No, just kidding!

It will be Moyes, he is a Man U style manager, able to build a club not just a team. Mourinho has no track record of staying at a club long term and developing youth despite how good he is. He'd become hated at Chelsea too, so cant see it - although he'd fancy it I reckon!

        Moyes will go there.

Maybe that's why Shrek dosnt appear to be getting a new contract? But of history between them 2

Seems like he's trying to get a move abroad.

in all seriousness i must say i am delighted i followed football during his managerial career. say what you want about him - 38 tropies in 26 years is unbelievable. he's the world's best manager - noone will do what he's done.

However.... "Now fergie's gone, you'll be sht, now fergie's gone, you'll be sht". hope they crumble.

                        Plus Mourinho to Chelski.

                          Moyes all day long.

What he has done at Everton with very limited resources (relatively speaking) is extremely impressive.

He's also a good friend and kind of a protege of Fergie - although he's clearly no "Fergie Lite".

Latest rumour doing the rounds is that, following his retirment, Wrigley's chewing gum have announced they have filed for bankruptcy.

                            :sorry:

Never understood the fascination with Moyes. Yes of course he's done a good job, but he's not that great. Similar level with Harry for me. He's generally a very defensive manager, like last year he often played midfielders up front and left strikers on the bench. Too defensive for Utd imo.

Also it's a myth about him working with peanuts at Everton.... he's had plenty of money over the years and still won nothing. If so good, you'd have thought he'd have really pushed for and won at least the League cup in his time by now, given that many top sides disregarded it for years, and hasn't.

I can't help thinking the suddne timing of this announcement is becasue Mourinho was about to sin for Chelsea. He is leaving Madrid, i assume by a mutual consent, so doubt much compo would be needed, he clearly wants the Utd job based on comments over the years and especially the rown nosing when they played recently, he's always been friendly with SAF and they will know it will take someone with massive confidence and personality to fill SAF's boots. Mourinho is a no brainer for me, as long as he;'s not already signed anything with the scum.
