I'd take Baldock and Adomah from Bristol City, both great championship players. Gayle / Tomlin from Posh are worth a punt as well.

Yeah agree....i know we've dropped a division, but i like to think we still will look at players with better quality than from relegated teams....I assume HR will have some decent money to spend

Was just going to post the same. We need players that could also make the step up if we were to get promoted.

Mackie got relegated with Plymouth the year before we signed him and Derry / Hill almost got relegated with Palarse did. You can be a good player in a poor team, In Bristol / Posh's case they have had a great goalscoring record but has awful defences which cost them. And most other seasons they wouldn't of gone down.

WHY ? If these players were that good these teams wouldn't be going down. Similar to us I know we need to look but as and our stars surely the same applies

1 player doesn't make a team. All these players have performed well in struggling teams (well maybe not O'Hara)

You can't expect a striker to make up for an awful defence (as has been the case in Bristol / Peterborough's seasons). Gayle and Baldock have both scored plenty of goals in that division. Read my previous post about Mackie, Derry and Hill. None of their teams did that well the season before we signed them

Anyone watching Harry Forrester at Brentford at the moment?....Direct, shoots, great flat deadball deliveries, ....don't know if it's a one off but i suspect with the season they've had it could be the norm. There's a defensive cm too who's everywhere breaking up play dicorurga...or something like that

of course,one player doesnt make a team and we shoudn't rule out a player just coz he was in a side that went down..but perhaps it might be worthwhile looking more at players who just miss out on promotion?
