Is this a joke ( sorry OP, not on your part).

He has shown enough to make it clear to all that we should steer clear. No discipline, no rules, we need this type of personality like a hole in the head.

Harry really wants him and I assume Oberwingie wants to play for Harry. I don't think it was his fault that Hoilett refused to go on loan.

32years old in July. Another player past his peak and would have very little or if no sale on value if we bought him. When will TF learn?

I think Odemwinigie would score for fun in the championship providing we bring in other good replacements.

This could be a good replacement for Remy, if he were to go.

32 year old for a 23 year old? Not really a good deal for us, is it.

There is not a problem signing older players if they come with the right attitude the problem is when you sign the wrong characters like we have. Come on not every player needs to have a resale value if they contribute in other ways lets use Kevin Phillips as an example if Palace get rid of him they will get nothing back for him but if his goals get them through the play offs and promoted well he's a £60million quid 38 year old.

                    The key is the contribution

Depends on how much we paid and we should put a sell on fee on top.

                      Agree with West.

Can I also add we need the right balance of young and old. Young players seems to be the new buzz on this board but the right mix of young and old players is important I would not be against us going out and trying to get in Phil Neville and Jaime Carragher (Who Jaime Rednapp suggested earlier we had approached for next season but he had said no) as with those two guys you get proper experience plus proper characters and professionals; what would be wrong with that especially if they guided youngsters coming in.

It also depends on what is in your current squad, we already have 4 30+ strikers. Zamora, Bothroyd, AJ and DJ. Do we really need another one?

How many players are you thinking we will buy this window?

On paper no, but if he scores the goals that take us up then it will be. Can't see it mind you.

All depends on who leaves and if the players are going to play a part in the coming season. You could argue we have an old player in Hulse but he has not had any part to play just because there on the payroll don't mean there going to form part of the club going forward.

I think a few have forgotten Adel aside our promotion in the main was based on four experienced (older) players three bought in by Warnock in Derry, Hill, Kenny and Heider who was already here. What do those four have in common although there of should we say a vintage pedigree they all have the right attitude and characters

Another example of this would be Furlong, we signed him in the twilight of his career but regardless of the stick he took early doors from the fans his character and experience saw him through the rough spell and without his goals and contribution would we have come up from Div 1?? I would suggest not

As I said in a thread the other day we need to get back to basics and start doing our homework on players and scouting properly so we not only know what we getting in terms of ability as player but also what characters we are recruiting. Dare I say it would not have taken much effort to identify what baggage Bosingwa/Barton would bring with them off the pitch!!! ten its a question of adding up does the baggage outweigh what they bring to the pitch
