Just out of interest, those who love the championship and would like us to stay there for several years, if you owned the club and we won the title, would you decline promotion back to the EPL?
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Have to go back to prem if that happens but lets face it we are never going to compete with the likes of Man Utd, Man City, scum, Arsenal, Spuds etc... how exciting can a mid table finish be?

Had QPR stayed up this season, who's to say that they wouldnt have had better seasons to come.

Remy would be staying, and Samba would be fully fit and QPR could have built on what they have achieved under Redknapp. I think QPR could have finished achieved what Stoke and Fulham have been doing in recent seasons. Now we are heading back to being a mediocre Championship side hoping to sneak into the play-offs..
What have Stoke and Fulham achieved other than Premier league survival for another year? Remy is our ONLY decent player tbf (maybe Cesar too). We are way way out of our league and it shows doesnt it?

TBH, just winning now and again would be great for me after the slow torture of the past couple of seasons.........

            Both have played in Europe.
Their fans are happy that their club is a stable PL club.
Actually we have a lot of decent players - if you really think about it - ask why they have not performed
You could compare them with this team against Swansea okt 3 2009 a year before the promotion

            Anyone can see the difference

We really dont mate, like Harry said we would still have probably been relegated if he had the whole season. They lack ability and i cant think of any that would get into Norwich/Southampton/Swansea....even Reading first 11 (Remy and Cesar apart) . Samba/Mbia/Diakite/Zamora/SWP/Johnson/Bothroyd/Traore/Boswinga/Ferdinand/Hoilett/Park/Hill/Derry/Mackie etc...Championship quality at best. Granero i am not even sure if Championship will suit him any better than the Premier league has. If HArry had the chance to get rid of the lot of these losers and start again he would jump at it..unfortunately he is saddled with them thanks to TF taking bad advice.

We need to rebuild slowly, no need to rush. I don't mind us being in the championship for a few years as long as we go up again and stay there with a good team.

We should aim to be a stable EPL club for the short to medium term and look for the occasional victory over the big clubs. That's how it used to be.

The top 4 clubs buy players for 25m upwards each.
We cannot do that untill we have a settled mid table prem team and it would take a few years of fine tuning to ever reach that top level.
So the quicker we get up the better.

QPR won 21 points from 22 games and that is playing catch up football.
If you translate QPR's form under Redknapp over the whole season , whilst not great would probably have totalled around 40-42 points maybe more. I am basing this on the fact that they would not have played a lot of these fixtures lacking confidence.
Also whilst they have not performed well this season how can Zamora Bosingwa Park Johnson be classed as Championship players given that they have spent most of their careers in the premier league?

Yeah it's been a miserable season but for christ sake this post is so blo ody negative.
Settle for Steve Claridge and hoof football? No thanks I like to aim a little higher.

Yes if we were to ever grace the premier league we must be able to compete but trying to make a positive out of staying in the championship is beyond any type of logic and common sense.

Like many said it took us 15 years to get promoted and I can actually see another miserable long term disaster. I just hope we keep Adel who is vital in us regaining premier league football. He has too much ability for that league and is much more important than anyone imo. Harry just needs to play him is a free role and not ruin him like he does so well.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Because of their age and they are prone to injury (and the disinterest exhibited by Boswinga and Zamora) and really by their current ability which has deteriorated. Will their be Premiership clubs clamouring to sign those 4 for their football ability? I think not.

Don't think anyone would say no to promotion next season. What people do object to, is spending more money on average players and having to watch bad football at a premium rate.

I'd like us to digest the mistakes we have made. As I fear this transfer window is going to be a repeat performance. Would I rather spend 2-3 seasons getting a group of players together who actually want the club to succeed and play for each other? Hell yes. If it took a shorter time than that, well I'd be delighted.

Do we have a current core of players that we can do that with at this moment in time? Answer for me is no. What basis do you think we will go up and have a better chance of staying up?

Yes I do mind being in the Championship, but sadly that's where we deserve to be at the moment with the S##T load of lazy money grabbing *******s we have playing for us, hopefully H.R & T.F.can sort it out and we can get back in the Prem Next year. I'd rather be Fulham,Stoke, they've established themselves as Prem clubs and will probably be there for a while because its so hard for the teams to come up to stay there, next year Cardiff, Hull and whoever wins the playoff will prob go down?

You reckon? Swansea and Norwich who came up with us have done well..so have Southampton and West Ham from last year. They have been run properly and have made the transition to the premiership the right way. Not always nailed on that the Champ teams come straight back down (unless they have a disastrous business model like we have)
