Maybe Tony is covering himself if we don't come straight back but it doesn't bother me too much. We're in a very unique situation with money still to be spent if needed, something not usually associated with relegated teams. Ideally it would be preferable to rebuild with younger talent and do what the swans did, changing just one or two players at a time each season. After two horrendous prem seasons win-wise, maybe it's us who need some win pampering to rekindle ourselves!

Anybody mind being in the championship for maybe 2-3 years?

I would not mind being in the Championship for several years to come because I fear further relegation is more likely now than speedy promotion back to the PL.Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

As for the Championship, i want to be there as little time as possible. no matter how poorly and underachieving our squad has been, it is still a big squad with a large amount of players that are more than good enough for the championship. We will lose some inevitably, but there will still be enough that we should be able to go for it next season and compete with the best. In an ideal world we'd run away with it, but that's very unlikely.
The point is, we won't have a better time to try and get up as the longer we're there, our squad will only get weaker. We have the players now and the parachute payments so need to make them count.
If we manage to go up again, i'm sure we wouldn't make such mistakes again and would be able to consolidate in the prem. West Brom have set the template for us to follow, up, down, up again stronger.Last edited by Del; 03-05-2013, 12:50 PM.
