  • Arsenal Game

I'm really looking forward to it, don't think I've looked forward to a game for ages....

The shackles are off...we are FREE

The suns out, we are down...so no pre match worries. Championship at the moment is clearly our level so no bitterness or last minute disappointment at the drop.
No longer everyone biting their lips not to say anything about over paid rubbish wasters which we in the stands knew for ages was the case, it's all come out...we know who you are...
    Arrys staying ...
TF come out in public, taken responsibility like a real man
    WF planning permission is cleared
We clearly have financial woes as a consequence of relegation but what person doesn't, I've got a huge mortgage and school fees etc to pay and always skint, everyones skint apart from tax avoiders, why should the club I love be any different - we are one...my wife demands are like those of the mercenaries but with more expensive tastes, I feel TFs pain, he like me just wants to be loved...:shy:

But doesnt matter we got a game tomorrow to a club that we are historically close to, they are like our well bred, wealthy and successful distant relative. Many mixed marriages between gooner/rangers families.

Meeting up with a gooner mate tomorrow, generally not that annoying fans to be fair and having a few beers in the evening sun and then off to our stadium knowing us fans are again the rock the club is based on, the myth that mercenaries rule LR has been truly ended. Smiles have been missing from LR for some time, let's bring them back for Tony and the club we all love.

Compared to what life throws us and some heart wrenching stories on this board, watching a game at LR in the above circumstances is a pleasure that must be cherished ... have a great weekend fellow posters and take care.

Yeah I said as soon as the predicable relegation happened we could enjoy the rest of the games in the Premier League, if I'm being honest I was hoping our game against Reading would end a draw & we would both go down, it takes the edge off it. Put it this way, we could of played Arsenal tomorrow in a tight game & got relegated at Home & see loads of people crying etc. there's nothing worse.

As for the game all the pressure is on Arsenal & we can just relax but still play.

Only thing I will say is no doubt Cesar is begging for a chance to play against Arsenal. I really hate Cesar.

    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Looking forward to it as being taking by a subby we use at work in a box n all that jazz. Free grub & booze always goes down a treat. Not been in a box at our place for about 10 years (last time we had Stuart Wardley up front!). Anybody been in 1 recently?

I didn't see the Reading MOTD highlights but I presume there was no blubbing on there? If so it must have been disappointing for tv broadcasters, still they may get it from one other team yet.

I'm looking forward to it also. The shackles are most definitely off.

And there's some interesting stats about us during May, and our record in the PL against Arsenal. Hmm.

I may be crazy but I'm going to put a score on 1-1.

That's the thing though, relegated teams do start playing better. Pressure is off. If we hadn't been so shocking I'd probably back a 2-1 hah.

I'm backing Samba 1st goal 3-1 purely as I have the past 4 games & it would just be my luck to top the season off that it will miraculously come in if I don't!

Don't actually think we will win though - quite simply, we are $hit.

i am not looking forward to it. the one time you don't want to play arsenal is when they are chasing a champs league spot so close to the end, and when our fate is already sealed.

last season we were still fighting - a fair few games left - on the back of the liverpool win (i think?) - and still in with a shout of staying up.

Now? the only thing we're playing for is pride...and that scares me as the players don't have any.

Arsenal are always on fire at this stage of the season and IMO i think it's going to be a similar scoreline to the FA cup a few years back...

Isn't Samba injured? Didn't even think he was 50/50 to play.

Might save me £5 this week then

Or chuck it on Remy as reckon he will nab 1 and seal a deal to em in the summer.

Pressure is off with regards to relegation fears etc, but i honestly think half our players just want the season over so they can draw a line under it and og on their hols. We may bag a result, but equally if the players minds aren't in it, i also fear we could get embarrassed.

That's very true.........but the 'team' we've got this season is like no other I have ever seen.......I just hope we don't get over run.

I know where your coming from, similar to the Japenese soldier on a remote island who continued to fight in WW2 when the war was over, he was faced against massive odds but simply continued for PRIDE.

If however you take a differing position, that we have lost the fight, we have no dignity or pride left after our rather pathetic attempt to eat at the top table. We are well and truly humbled but tomorrow isnt about pride it's about the FUTURE, the ghost of a top 10 club, international football in 5 yrs blah blah blah have been firmly put to rest.

Tomorrow the pretence of trying to compete with the likes of arsenal (consistently not one off games) are banished, we are what we are tomorrow, a patchwork quilt made up up grafters, mercenaries and a tad of talent. Tomorrow is not about false hope as we constantly had before but to say farewell and to look to the FUTURE, the future is bright the future is genuine the future is rebuilding to what we should of been. No more wool over our eyes but from tomorrow as the who sang " we won't be fooled again" that should be the song they come out to
