SO one thing I noticed when I watched the Tony Fernandes interviews is that until the January Window, most of the players we have signed were on frees. Those that weren't were signed for a total of about 22mil last season. Do you think that we can make that back on the players that we will aim to sell? Then, what do you think our average wages for new players last and this season have been? again, If we sell the players we want to sell, how much do you think we will need to sell net to make back the wage packages we offered them.
For me, I would say the average new wage for players signed that we want to sell is about 40k per week which means that over an average of 1.5 years (from those bought 2 and 1 year ago). To make back the wages we would need to sell a total of 3.12million for the wages of one player and for the 6 or 7 we want to sell, that would be about 21.84mil just to break even on those signings. We also will look probably to shift about 15 of the 22mil worth of signings from last season so that just adds on to total 36.84mil.
But, we also have fans attendance which factors in. SO in an 18k seater, we fill an average of about 17k over the last two seasons and average ticket prices are about 40 quid so the total receipts from that is 25.84mil. Assuming for Admin Reason, about 5-6 mil of that doesnt get factored in, but also we make about 5-8mil from away attendance we now only need to make about 11mil to break even. Then you have tv money and sponsorship deals so really we don't actually have to sell for much for the club to break even.
I might come out of this as being naive and forgetting to put in some vital information but these are just estimates for The players that we want to sell This has nothing to do with those we want to keep. Anyways, let me know if you think any changes are necessary
