Watson would cost 2 million now, he hasn't been at Wigan very long. If we are doing well, then we will buy him. Guess, if we are languishing at the bottom of the table, he won't be interested and I wouldn't blame him.

in regards to Simpson, Wenger contrary to reports does not want to sell at this point in time. Someone like Simpson has it all to prove for the season, and that makes him hungry to do well, ultimately he must want to play for Arsenal.

In my opinion, neither are gambles.

I would agree with that, they are not gambles in the respect we know what we are getting but for me at least, as I feel we are only going to be midtable as things stand, then they are not players we will keep. Therefore we will have to do it all again in the next window/next summer..so in reality are we really strengthening?
