  • I thought the club said they were not doing loans this season?

We wanted a group of players that were ours.

Why has the club changed their policy in the last few weeks?

Valid question. It's not a moan at all imo.

If we are building for the 4 year project we need to have long term plans with our own players in place. Of course if this is not the case having the likes of Simpson and Watson on loan is better than not having them at all. Just some clarity from the board rather than contradictions would be good.

Say what you want about loaning players but Watson, Simpson and Taarabt are 3 MASSIVE signings

Not moanin; think it's a perfectly valid question!

Modfather is in another league to me! He could moan in an empty room!

I agree the loan signings are good, but it is still going against what was said after last season.

Things change..also look at the balance sheets..we're a club running at a massive loss..i'm shocked we've brought so much quality in - even if most of it is on loan

                    Still hasn't answered the question.

I think the word is struggling for an answer Dave. Still when have we been told the straight truth from anyone within the club of late?

I would agree the loans we have got this time are good ones but that is because I beleive we are looking at nothing more than mid table, I think BW is a good loan but did we need a loan for midfield really? Myself and from what I can see, the majority of R's fans can think of two other positions they would rather have seen filled first!!

I do not beleive that was a moan from Dave but a genuine observation and valid question.

I know it was a valid question, I was only jesting.

End of the day Buzz, Vine and Ageymang out for the majority of last season and you can add Rowlands to that list. In my opinion, you give these guys the chance to prove themselves. Thats fair and you have a clearer picture after 4-5 games

After 5 games, and pretty much like Ipswich have done if its still not working, you change it. A new manager needs time to assess his squad

well suppose the reason is fairly obvious - you can get quality players at a fraction of the cost. think we have used the loan market quite skillfully on the whole (Parejo, Di Carmine being major exceptions), the only danger now is that it starts to upset the balance and you have players trying for themselves rather than the team.

A very valid question in my opinion.

If the loans are such that we may purchase at a later date, then it makes some sort of sense.I know we did same with Buzz etc from last season.

But we know how good watson is - so if we are progressing , why not buy him. Also - with Simpson, an unknown and un proven really at this level - but if he does good for us, will we be able to buy from Arsenal? And if he does do well for us, will Arsenal bump price up? We know how good AT was last season and it looked like he was being sold to malaga - so why have we loaned him again? If we think he is that good...buy him....

If we start doing well over next two months, for example, and these three players are an integral part of our game - whats the point if we have to hand them back???

                              Seems very odd...
