Exactly West, won't be thrown at them as it wasn't at Southampton....just a QPR thing with the media

Thanks for answering the question on what you think was a good fee ......I'm thinking they won't offer more than £2 mill tbh

So far we have the following players linked with moves away from our club

          mackie- cardiff

          salad-ac milan

          park-mls

          cisse-france

must say this has cheered me up tonight.

hope they all happen and also find clubs for bosingwa and granero then its job done.

thats got to be 300k a week wages saved or should i say £14.5mil saved over a year there. make it happen tony.

Across London, Mackie has just been relegated with QPR, but Tom Hopkinson, also of the People, believes he’ll be staying in the Premier League with Cardiff. “I can see this one happening. I’d go a minimum of eight out of 10, maybe even higher. I think Jamie Mackie would be a very good signing for a team like Cardiff; he’s got a couple of years of Premier League experience now and is very hard-working. And the main reason he’ll be leaving QPR is because he’s not on great money there and I think Cardiff will be able to give him a far better wage.”
I would never say such a thing! I hope he goes coz his level is Div 1 at best...terrible player.

Good enough for the prem, not great, but certainly better than championship level. Bottom half Prem player.

Dont think Harry will let him go and Tony will pump up his wages.

You'd withdraw the wine gums then!!

Letting Mackie go would be a big mistake, ideal player for next season, a little short of quality for Prem but excellent Championship player.

Buying Jamie Mackie hardly smacks of wholesale profligacy ffs. Every team team needs to buy to stay in the Prem... where we screwed up was buying the wrong people and that is why, quite justifiably, people rip the pis$$ out of us.

It would cheer me up too except that it is all idle speculation. Marseilles couldn't even afford to pay Mbia's wages so shifting Barton or Cisse out ther ain't gonna happen without us paying some of the wages.

Not having much game time under Redknapp...not true.

                            He was played up front ahead of Cisse and scored 2 goals in about 12 games, not sure if he missed any of these;
Man U Sunderland Villa, Wigan Fulham, Newcastle West Brom, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs Man City Norwich West Ham, Swansea before losing his place.

He is not PL level, and if a club is willing to buy him for £3-4M, he can go, otherwise, keep him as he is good enough for the Championship and is not on a big wage.

hmmm depends on what they offer

he'll do the job in the champ though, and the last thing we need is to disrupt the squad more than it inevitably will this summer

i'd say keep unless we get 4M+

The general consensus on this board is that Mackie isn't 'premiership quality'.........but ironically he's the one who could be heading back there....ahead of the 'quality' players.

Maybe we don't know as much about what makes a top footballer as we think.....
