I think it's more about making QPR a global brand, rather than shirt sales. There is no larger market than asia. By having the best low cost carrier in asia and the most famous active asian football player it will increase the exposure of QPR massively, not only in asia. As for TV rights, the market in asia is going to increase every year. Some countries in asia are football crazy. Most of the football fans are already supporting a team but all the young ones are looking for an idol. If QPR is a long term project then exposure is vital.
As for whether or not Park stays is entirely up to if he wants to stay himself and if HR has him in his plans. We are building for the future, imo there is no reason to let go of our most experienced player. He came cheap and there is still a very good chance he can contribute next season.
