  • Did Gianni really make a bid for Hooper?

Well what do you reckon chaps?

probably; but if his second bid was for £1m presumably his first one was in the 750k/ 800k range - no wonder they didn't take him seriously.

We are always trying to do it on the cheap. I am pleased and excited about Watson signing but it is clear to see we are crying out for a partner for Simpson. When will they learn? I know we can still loan but I am getting fed up that they don't spend as we are so close to a promotion chasing side.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

What striker would you have tried to buy?

I would of bought Hooper. I think he would of been a great signing or tried to strike a deal for Kamara who was very available. When Bolton dropped out we should of made them an offer they couldn't refuse like 2.5 million

Hooper - as you were v right to identify a week ago. But you have to pay the going rate. And if it was about timing, why not have gone in with the bid a few days earlier to give Scunthorpe time to buy some carthorse replacement?

Think the Faurlin deal was a mistake.Should have put that cash towards a serious bid for Hooper or Beckford.Midfielders were the last thing we needed to spend that amount of cash on really.

Goals win you matches and unfortunately we will now struggle to score many!
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

The frustration is you can almost write the match reports before we play the matches - "lots of pretty play by Queens Park Rangers but no one in the box to stick numerous chances away..."
