We made crazy singings under Mark hughes. But can you point to one sensible signing we've made in the entire Fernandes era?

Id say maybe Onuha... Who was ironically signed by Hughes.

Warnock and Redknapp both signed over rated over paid ****e.

Mark Hughes should take a fair bit of the blame but is an easy scapegoat when the problem goes far deeper.

Appointing Phil Beard was the beginning of Fernandes many mistakes...

        Yep, Loic Remy.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I wouldn't call it a "sensible signing". Great player, but it was a gamble that hasn't paid off. Luckily we should be able to recoup the fee at least.

In what way was that sensible?

He wasnt bought in the long term interest of QPR.

It was a last minute panic to keep us in the Premiership.

It didnt work and he wont be here next season.

So at the same time im not going to be praising his loyalty to the club and glorfying him on the day his attempt to simply buy succces finally failed.

Ultimately it was him who decided our tansfer policy would be about "big" name big money signings. And ultimately he is the reason we are lumbered with so many mercenaries.

He not a bad person. But his naivety that he could keep throwing money at us in order to get publicity and success has cost this club is premiership status and much of its pride.

So people suck up to him if you want. But I lay the blame for most of this mess squarely at his door.
This. It's a bit pathetic to see people still claiming it's Mark Hughes' fault alone. He didn't do us any favours, but the buck has to stop with the board. Our time in the Premiership has been a disaster from day one.

We couldn't score goals so we buy a striker who I think scored every other game he played. We've had a problem scoring goals all season so buying a good striker seemed sensible to me.

Doesn't really matter if he stays or quits now, the damage has been done and repairing it will take many many many years and someone will eventually succeed, either him or someone else, doesn't really matter.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

Um can you put up your countless posts dating back to the summer where you complained bitterly about the signings we made....thanks

I agree with most of that. I want him to stay, but he has to learn as the policies have not worked.

Excatly what will take many years to repair? The long contracts that has been handed out, do you mean?
What he actually has done is to delegate according to gospel these days. Most people on this board were over the moon when we appointed Hughes whose impressive CV in most ways at that point in time spoke for itself.
