                        It means nothing, just like the rest of them.

                        If this was a game where winning gave us a hope of staying up, I could forgive the hysterical nonsense about the post-match reactions.

                        They all knew, like we did, that it was over already. Everyone was just politely going through the motions. No-one was ever going to be weeping at the end, and a few smiles between acquaintances are hardly worth getting irate over.
