He was in the team that got slaughtered by MK Dons, once he came off we grabbed a few goals so that sort of argument can go both ways.
Just checked, and indeed Park started in the 3 games won against West Brom, Southampton and Sunderland. He was out due to injury in the game won against Fulham in December. That tips the scale, doesn't it?
The season is over for us, but I thought we should set the record straight on this since Park has taken so much criticism, when in reality he contributed to 3 of our 4 wins. Sigh. 4 wins.Last edited by Joon; 29-04-2013, 02:10 AM.

Park did play against Chelsea but only for a few minutes at the end because he was not fully recovered from his injury. So the stat of having played in 3 of 4 league games won remains valid, but not as definitively as I thought.
However, since we have stumbled onto cup games won, I just looked up how many cup games we won this season, and it turns out we only won two: one against West Brom, the other against Walsall. Park started in both of those games.
Unless I missed another game somewhere, that brings our total wins including league and cups to 6 wins. Of those 6 games won, Park played in 5 (started in 4).Last edited by Joon; 29-04-2013, 09:19 AM.

Park can get no credit for the win against chelsea in which he played a few minutes.
With regards to the cup games, he started and he was shocking in our embarrassing defeat to MK Dons so works both waysLast edited by Norths; 29-04-2013, 09:31 AM.

Maybe he will make it into the Premier League Team Of The Season?
Park is rubbish and hasnt even been able to get a game in our woeful side lately, 18 total league appearances and i cant think of one where he wasnt Sh1t and didnt constantly fall over and jump out of tackles. Park is finished as a premiership player (not that he was much good even in his prime).
Maybe if they do a Premier League benchwarming team of the season he might have a chance to get on it...although i doubt it.

As for cup games, we should stick to discussing wins and not losses, because if we were to try to discuss losses... I don't think that would be productive since 100% of our players have played in many, many losing matches throughout the season. Pretty much our entire team played horribly in the MK Dons game, Park included.
Now, back to the total games won. Even when deducting most of the Chelsea game from Park's stats, he still started in 4 games out of 6 total wins. That's about 67%. Considering that Park played only about half the games in the season, a truly neutral stat would have been 25% (half of 50%).

That would still tip the scale in his favor by a tiny little bit above 50% when considering only league games won.

You might have to take his posters down off your wall
