I agree. All that talk of Newcastle being a 'massive' club & blah blah. Just go Joey you mug. People shouldn't forget he was absolutely useless in 80% of games he played for us.

No i agree Ric he wasnt all that for most of the season but looking at our CM options (Park, Granero, Mbia, Derry, Diakite etc ) we currently have i think he is better than what we have.

              This.

However, more chance of me copping hold of Kate Upton than him playing for us again. I've to and fro'ed regards Barton and whether I want him back or not. When the whole City incident I backed him 100% and wanted him back. However, some of the $hit he has spouted about our club since has made me well and truly want shot of him - prized pr1ck. Cash in, make a few quid out of Marseille and get him off the books.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

This season our middle has missed someone to bully the opposition, someone to direct and bark our orders, someone to get on the back of our own team when they needed it

As a team this season we have had no edge, sometimes you need someone to jump into a tackle which is 60/40 and show a bit of passion to get the crowd and team up. We have gone from devils on the pitch last season (with regards sendings off) to p ussys on the pitch this one.

In all honesty when opposition teams have looked at us in the build up to a game they have no doubt looked at our middle and thought there is no one there who is going to give us a hard time and leave there foot in (Park no, Granero no, Faurlin no, Mbia No just clumsy) with Barton in the middle they more often then not know they were in for a battle and will have to graft and there is a chance there going to get caught with an elbow or late foot, its not pretty but its todays game.

Teams playing us this season have had an easy ride we have not fronted any team up and said you might beat us for skill but you wont beat us by bullying us, we simply rollover

He didn't give us that last season though. He was just as ineffective as the midfield have been this year.

Agree to disagree mate. He never lived up to the expectation, granted, but he was not as bad as many make out. Everyone harps back to the Liverpool game but after that he never put a foot wrong; Man City aside. Even when he played badly he was still barking out orders and organising.

By the way after his recent comments I don't think I would welcome him back with open arms but he would comfortably get in the middle we currently have. Perhaps with a protector beside him Granero may have been a better player

He had his chance & was ****. I think they're all as bad as each other if I'm honest. Big time charlies (minus Derry) I'd rather have gone for players like Robert Snodgrass or Bradley Johnson in that position, grafters & no frills who do a good job for their respective club. Before anyone has a pop have a peek at the league table first. Cheers.

I do think we need a Barton type player next season, another player not on many Rangers fans like list but would be ideal, Steve Sidwell
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble

I don't like the snidy ginger mug but yea another no frills grafter. Got history against us with getting Cureton sent off and for his hack on Traore this season.

Forget the big names ,we need the top up and coming grafters to compliment, Jenas, Mackie, Zamora, derry faurlin etc .

Barton is a very average player, a complete pra t and bad in the dressing room i reckon. cant wait until he leaves us for good
