Best wishes Toni, and like u said, it's nice they actually now know what is actually wrong with you which is a semi relief when you're feeling dreadful.

I hope QPR give you a promotion season although health does make football seem pretty pointless.

Good man and long term poster on this site!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

also makes some of the b itching we get on here seem very trivial. some make it their whole life's work to come and try and get an arguement when in reality their really are more important things in life. maybe its an age thing.

              Sorry to hear it

I had it too when I was 5 years old. The surgery was so painful that I even forgot about the time I was bedridden. Lucky I am here safe and sound.

              Even I overcame it.

You will definitely be fine I guarantee mate!

              It's nothing really.

If a 5-year-old kid can overcome it, a fully-grown R can overcome it nice and easy.

              All the best mate!!

Thanks again for all your kind words of support.

I have decided to call my tumour "Mr, Hughes", as he was also very unwanted and a bit of a bugger to get rid of.

Sorry to hear that mate. Hope you make a swift recovery.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Went to see my GP today.

She told me that although they are just monitoring the tumour at the moment, I should mentally prepare myself for either radiotherapy or surgery at some point in the future. I guess I already guessed that anyway.

I will have a choice of radiotherapy or surgery.

My question is this: If I am shyte-scared of surgery, is that a valid reason to opt for radiotherapy instead, even though this won't remove Mr Hughes, it will just stop him growing?

I've done a bit of research on the internet about the surgery and it sounds nasty - up to 8 hours in theatre with (statistically) a 2% chance that you won't wake up again. This is all for something that may or may not happen at some point in the future, but I feel I need to be thinking about it now so that if the time comes, I'll know which way to jump.
