Should never been allowed to leave until the end of the season, whoever decided that got it wrong I presume it was Redknapp, must have thought we would be ok without him, if we did not get Samba, who would we have to partner Hill. I would have sooner Nelson before Hill, with Nelson and Samba we would have been more solid at the back.

TBH I don't think Harry carries much weight in the club. Evidence being that if he did then M'vila/Cole/Crouch/PeterO would have been signed up in January (to have a real crack at survival rather than rely on the pi$$ poor efforts of Hughes flops) and Granero/Bosingwa and other assorted idlers would have been shown the door too.
None of which happened and not expecting much different in the summer.

He retired from playing football and took up a job as a coach. Nothing at all ANYONE at the club could do about it. And if you think you can find some clever emploeyment law, you can't, the job he took up was outside of the UK and EU regulations anyway.Last edited by silvercue; 25-04-2013, 10:57 AM.

Not sure how people fail to grasp this. Nelson did not go to PLAY for another club, so we are utterly powerless to stop him. Just like if you tell your boss today that you resign and decide to go and be a dustman.

I guess HR. thought we had enough of players of quality who really wanted to play for us. Hence he let Neilson go? Well, in hindsight it seems like he was wrong...
IN my opinion, he should have given Iffy a chance alongside Hill or Samba. The latter constellation doesn´t seem to gel at all.QPR

Shania - not sure you have actually read the replies above. HR did not LET him go. He has absolutely no choice whatsoever and nor did the club.

To be fair Nelsen said he was playing in pain. That's seriously dangerous & could ruin his life in the long run. Someone's life is more important than sport IMO. I do agree he's a big lossUnder Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
