  • POTY event cancelled

Email from Ian Taylor to all the fan sites:

    Hi all,

I know a few of you have been asking in recent weeks …

I can now confirm that we won’t be holding a Player of the Year event this season

I am sure you understand why we have made such a decision and hopefully you agree that this decision has been made in the best interests of the club

The point was raised briefly in our Fans Group meeting last week and those present agreed it was the correct decision

FYI – Voting for this seasons awards will open over the course of the next 48 hours, with the awards set to be presented at our final home fixture of the season against Newcastle United

Please feel free to feed this information out as you see fit

    Regards
    Ian

If there still is voting Nelsen should get it, if only to stick it up to the rest of the squad.

      Nelsen 1st
      Remy 2nd

That's how bad the rest have been.

We might have stayed up with him still here.
To be honest though I am a bit annoyed at how we let him leave and not sure I could vote for him because of that.

I honestly think we should vote for clint hill, he may not have performed like a premiership CB all season but he ****ing tries, and he's been our captain for the latter part of the season, if nelsen where to get it I think it would be a slap in the face for clint

Townsend or Remy. Only ones justifying a wage packet.

If it's open to social media sites to vote it will be Park.

Near enough impossible to vote for anyone as no one has been consistently brilliant. Even though he hasn't had a very good season for his standard, I will prob vote Adel (If I vote). Longest serving player, top goalscorer (If Remy don't score anymore) out of him and Remy for goal of the season, most assists & chances created. But that is pushing me for a vote, probably won't tbh.

No way should Hill get it BTW.

                Massive opportunity missed IMO.

They could have put the lot of them in stocks at Loftus Road in front of the fans who each have a bag of rotten veg...... and he with the least rot on his face at the end gets POTY.

                Effective. Democratic. And thoroughly deserved.

Only ones that should be able to vote are members and ST holders imo as otherwise the above is certain to happen.
