Well this is just it...too little, too late.

A classic case of putting all your eggs in one basket when we should have been enquiring of many options from the start.

We let the Chelsea youngster go as we only wanted Bale when we should really have gone for both. We seem to have put a lot of effort in to trying to sign strikers who in my opinion have less chance of getting goals than Dex...players like Stead and Folan whilst leaving a real goal scorer like Hooper to the last minute.

I tip my hat to the Ben Watson deal, but the way we conduct our transfer policies at times is terrible.
    Your mum would love me...

Relatively happy with the Jay Simpson signing.
Relatively happy we've signed Ben Watson for a couple of months.

But overall, QPR should have done better.

We are still a good striker short of being promotion certs, imo.

I'm surprised people are surprised at this. We have been after a decent strilker for ages. At least 2 pre seasons, August and January transfer windows have passed without getting one. I am pleased we have Watson, because at least we got a good one this time, albeit for a few months. But I never expected anything different knowing the way the club operates.

A lot of excitement was generated with comments such as "busiest transfer day for years" and all the ITK's generating hysteria of unknown not happening signings. It's been done here before and will be done again. No doubt people will fall for it get excited and get disappointed all over again. I suppose some people enjoy being led like that. Personally I find it almost insulting to what little intelligence I have.

            Watson and Simpson are quality.
            Taarabt is an enigma.
Faurlin and Heaton look very promising.
Pellicori may provide something different, but has only played one full game.

We haven't got everything right yet, but I feel we've improved in most areas.
We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are...
