  • Transfer Requests & Mutual Agreements

I know some say it will be hard to shift some of our players because of there High Wages, but I still can't see a few wanting to stay and play in the Championship next season.
If a mutual agreement can be reached then they would be free to leave, sign for someone else and pocket a signing on fee and a decent wage.

Players who I think will hand in requests, and would be snapped up.

Bosingwa (Could probably end up at 1 of the Turkish Clubs that qualify for Champs League)
Granero (Was regarded highly in Spain, and is rumoured of interest from Southampton)
Rob Green (If Cesar stayed , no way will he want to be number 2 in a lower league)
Diakite ( If Harry stays then I can't see him wanting to stay put as obviously isn't rated by HR, maybe a move back to France)

We paid what 8 mil for Granero? We're not about to let him go on a free, and when he signed we reportedly offered him double what he was getting at Madrid (apparently Sevilla offered a third of what we did). So he has to want to take a hefty pay cut and/or the club has to take a bath on his fee.

Bosingwa we could shift, but it's going to cost us. I think we'll offload Cesar before Green but either way one will be going. Diakite we can probably shift on a low fee. Harry might prefer to see what he can do in the Championship though, especially if we shift Mbia.

I don't think Granero will be a mutual agreement, but I can see him wanting out and there would be interest in him from some of the Spanish Clubs.
Real Madrid fans were gutted when he left.
Most of the signings Hughes made on paper, looked like we were in for an exciting season.

More likely to keep Green I would've thought. I think Arsenal will be interested in Cesar (and Remy)

Problem we also have is that Arry has been overtly critical of our players and in particular their wages and to be fair anyone with half a brain that has seen us knows what Arry is saying is true. This means any potential buyers know what we paid both in transfer and wages were far too high plus these aren't great players, any buying club which to be fair will have a tighter control of budgets than us will have a field day in negotiations and often simply cite Arry as a reason to turn us over and get a cheap deal.

For negotiating purposes for most of our squad, we are in a weak position and the only option i think we have is to try to come to some agreement to buy out players contracts so they can get off our payroll ASAP. The clubs going to take massive massive losses but one things guaranteed we won't see a reduction in st prices.
