  • Arry record worse than Hughes and Warnock

Opta bloke on Talk sport today said that Arrys win to game ratio in the prem is actually worse than Warnoch and unbelievably Hughes.

IS it just this utter sh it e team or is there a problem . for the record i would want arry and his back room staf to stay and re build

problem? With Harry? I tired of us chopping and changing managers but he's only going to be here 1 more year. Rather get someone in cheaper, younger and on a long term deal. Stick with him and let him build his squad.

I totally agree. Harry will attract good players to the club too. He managed to bring in Remy & Townsend, who have both done very well. He also attracted Samba, who unfortunately hasn't been able to fill Nelsen's boots

What player wouldn't want to play for Harry?

We shouldn't have to overpay players in the championship, they should want to come and play for us as they know we want promotion back first time.

I think we could under pay and they'll still want to come here.

Statistics never tell the whole story. Hughes made buys that he expected would help us push on after some decent results towards the tail of last season. The critical mistake he made was upfront, relying on Cisse and two perennially injured strikers. That said, no one could have accounted for the fact Cisse's form dropped as dramatically as it did. That gaping hole meant that we started off badly, and the players he bought in aside from Nelsen weren't up for a relegation battle. I think if we'd had a decent striker performing upfront we would never have been in the mess we're in and Hughes would still have the job. So while everyone is keen to lay our troubles at his doorstep, I think he made a grievous error, but was also very unlucky.

Harry then came in and I'm sure he knew that it was going to be very difficult to change that. One problem was our position in the table meant he had to go for wins in games where a draw under different circumstances would have been a decent result. The other problem was he was never going to turn players used to winning into battlers overnight. So while the statistics don't surprise me, I don't think we can fault him too much. If we'd signed Remy in the summer though, I think we'd be mid-table.
