So who is London's premier club?? based on what Martin Samuels says we trail behind Charlton and Palace so how do you call it. I would have it the following way:
Clubs that clearly stand out:
1) Arsenal - Are the biggest club we have to offer. Most successful, biggest crowds and wherever you go you see Gunners tops
2) Tottenham - Still the second club in London in my book marginally in front of Chelsea. They are not massively successful but they still pull big numbers home and away and as with Arsenal you see their tops all over
3) Chelsea I am afraid. Have as we would all expect become bigger and picked up support since the ruble man arrived. Yes you see plenty of Chelsea fans about on the street but on European match days and some premier league games there are always tickets to be had
4) West Ham have the big catchment area into Essex and I would ague are comfortably bigger then those which are to follow
Middle Teams:
I would start by saying there could be an argument to shuffle all these in any order
5) QPR - I would argue we are a bigger club then Fulham based on history and consistently pulling crowds. Similar to Chelsea Fulham's crowd and popularity has increased since being in the prem. Were they to drop I have no doubt they would return to crowds of 10 to 12k (Accept if a Fulham fan was judging this they would swap the places)
6) Fulham - Please see above
7) Palace - I think should be a bigger club then they are and like West Ham should have a bigger pulling power as after them the next team you hit is Brighton.
8) Charlton - As with the above there is an argument you could swap Charlton with Palace. Like Fulham crowds swelled from being in the prem
9) Millwall - As far back as I can remember Millwall have pulled 10 to 12k no matter what division they have been in
Also Rans
10) Brentford - Think there comfortably bigger then the three below them
11) Orient - Suffer from being so close to West Ham
12) AFC Wimbledon - Were never a big or medium sized club even as old Wimbledon
13) Barnet - No comment
