  • The Mittals

When we were crowned Championship Champions, Lakshmi Mittal made a bid to buy out Ecclestone and Briatore. For some reason, his bid was not accepted and in came Tony Fernandes. TBH TF did put his money in to try and establish QPR as a Premier force. However, he may be naive and put too much trust in the wrong people. To be clear about TF; I like him and has ambitions for QPR.
But just remember one thing; when we were a championship club under Briatore, we were going nowhere with all the four year plan and so on. And then Amit took over Chairmanship, bring Saksena...bring NW as manager.....and the story was written. What is my point? Under the Mittals QPR were heading for success. They beleive, love, feel for QPR like any other supporter and fan. They were taking the right decisions that would eventually devolope the club. But this was not to be. I hope for the sake of QPR, that the Mittals will be the major shareholders for next season with TF & co completing the board.

I guess we'll never know, but Fernandes' biggest mistake was not getting someone who actually knows about football involved high up.

OR, let the shareholders stay put and make Amit Chairman again. Let him and Saksena run the club with TFs and Mittals money and we're destined for glory.

Get with the programme man ..............

QPR FC is a bit part player in TF & his backers plans to build an entertainment complex to the west of London, he needs us as cover to build the stadium/arena thats why they want 40,000 plus seats for our 15,000 home fans to rattle around in ..............

'WE' are just a small part of a much much bigger rich persons project !

The question good ol uncle Tony et al should be answring is after they sell LR & move us will we OWN the stadium or will some third party (ie TF's money men) actually own it ?

"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

Amit seems to be pretty busy these days. Not sure he would have time to Chair QPR.

TF wouldn't give it up, too many opportunities to get his boat on the TV n papers
