I know we have had two horrendous seasons in the Premiersh!t, but would I have rather had Flabio & Bernie the Dwarf at the helm, instead of Tony Fernandes?
No, not in a million years.
To me it just seems like people are blaming him as he's an easy target.
I'd like to know what people honestly think he should have done that would have improved us this season?
Appointed someone other than Hughes. Warnock was the man who lost the dressing room and it was his time to go but he should have gone for a young and talented manager. Also he should have got a right hand man who knew about football to advise him about the goings on at the club, so he doesn't get taken for a mug by managers demanding x and y amounts of money.
Fernandes employed the wrong managers, he let them spend ridiculous amounts of money and he is the reason why we're in this position now with a bunch of deadwood and in the championship. I don't doubt his commitment and love for the club, I hated Briatore so I won't even compare the two, but I think you'll find even Tony will accept responsibility for the position we're in.
For those that think TF is wonderful ask yourselves why we are the laughing stock of football now.
For the record, I like him and want him to stay, but he is clueless about football, my optimism is based on his enthusiasm, which could vaporize.
Anyone who says "he knows what he is doing - he has made millions" is clueless as a genius businessman in the bakery world knows nothing about the IT industry and so on. He knows nothing about football yet.
Yer they take a proportion of the blame imo Dave too...but ultimately its down to the boss. Reap the praise in the good times and take the criticism when he fails.
The manager manages the team. He asks the chairman for the players he feels will win games. The chairman supplies the funds to buy these players, they sign yet the manager (s) can't get them playing and we subsequently get relegated.
That is no way the chairmanship fault. OK if we're in crippling debt, that's the chairmanship fault, but being relegated is the managers fault, not the chairman.
But back to the op, not fit to lace FBs boots?? I'm still not having that.

Yeah fair enough thats how it is. Kron has just made a very good point to me on another thread in answer to my we all wanted Samba, and that is we don't have scouts to guide us in what would be a good signing and what wouldn't, so i don't know what to say to that i admit,

We were a laughing stock when FB kept firing managers. We were a laughing stock when we lost to vauxhall motors. Getting relegated from the top flight to me, is not quite as bad as the 2 previous instances.

Who gave the green light to bring in Green then spend to bring in Cesar when he suddenly became available ? only at rangers
Cant Argue that one buddy.
When Hughes came knocking for that one my sentence to him would have resembled something along the lines of 'F uck off you p iss taker and shut the door on the way out'
The request for Cesar really would have started the alarm bells ringing in my head about Hughes and his abilities and the first thing I would have done is get onto the other board members and said what do you think about this one!!
Another thing which has just dawned on me about Hughes playing football manager pre season is he signed up Cerny on a one year contract then never even gave him a squad number and went out and signed two further keepers so he signed three keepers pre season to supplement the one we already had . Where is the sense in that K nob

Another question then, who is to blame?
Mark Hughes all day long.
Also, it's interesting how for pretty much the last season and a half everyone's been wetting themselves saying we should sign Samba. TF delivers, it dosnt work out. I suppose he'll be blamed for this?

The guy can't win.
Who employed Hughes? Who gave him the money to spend?
Fernandes is too caught up in making QPR a 'global brand' and getting big names.
Could argue with TW7 and Dave about the rights and wrongs , but ive got alot of time for you both as posters on this site ,and we are all hurting after another lacklustre performance and our impending relegation ,so i`m turning off the computer ,it aint gonna make it better tonight .
Respect to everyone ,who care s about the Rangers
iirc Flav was still running the show at that point? Amit just as a front man to keep the fans happy? May be wrong on that one though. I'm not defending Flav though I think the man's a ****
