Right, time to nail your colours to the mast,
i dont want to be the plaything of rich foreign businessmen
i dont wont to sell my soul
i dont want anew ground ,full of twa ts who dont really support QPR
I dont want pubs like the Adelaide,The White Horse,The British Queen etc to close ,or reopen as trendy bars
I dont want Cookes to go out of business
i dont want even more of the culture i was brought up with to die
I dont want to leave Loftus RD
i dont want to play in a soulless bowl with no atmosphere
I dont want QPR to be a big club

I dont want to be a club with no heart like Chelsea have become
I dont want to sober up !

            Or to paraphrase.

And that's not meant as a dig, it's human nature.

Understandable, but some change is inevitable, and you can't take it personally or you'll drive yourself nuts.

Some of those things may happen. Some probably won't. Most are beyond our control sadly.

"I say, did you know you've got a steering wheel sticking out of the front of your trousers?"
"Yes, it's been driving me nuts all day."

I sort of agree with you vespa. I love LR. But this is progress and I think we are very lucky to have this opportunity. Many things could yet go very wrong but I'm hopeful it will turn out well for all of us.

I know exactly what you mean Vespa but all of those things (apart from selling your soul!) are out of your control.
We have no choice but to hold on for the ride and hope it is a good one.
A new ground will still be 4-5 year away I would have thought so several more seasons at LR yet to treasure.

A new stadium will have to be built if we are ever going to get back into the premier league and stay there with the new financial rules coming in. It'll probably be the same for the championship too, there are some big clubs residing in that league.

Thread for the oldies or what? ;)

It will be a slow gradual change anyway, its not like we'll wake up tomorrow and everything will be different.

I see where your coming from Vespa, and can see your point, but for me a new ground is a must.

I love LR and the surrounding area, but unfortunately for me, the ground has just dated too much to a point now where it's in some aspects a pain in the ar5e.

Cant get a drink at half time unless you miss the last 15 mins of the first half. Can't have a p155 without the same issue. I'm a ST holder so it's not so much of an issue to me but for mates who are members it's pretty impossible for them to get seats together. I wanted to get my son a ST for this season, but couldn't as we couldn't get 4 seats anywhere remotely close together.

Things like this hamper the introduction of new supporters, which we need. Ok maybe not the types of parts you get at fulham but young fans like my son. Next season I'm sure ill be able to get a ST together thus introducing him to something special on a Saturday that if we had of stayed up with a limited stadium I don't think I would have been able to do, and chances are he'd have ended up wanting to start supporting the scum.

As said above I love LR and the atmosphere is unique, but it's the fans that make atmospheres. For all the soulless bowls there are also some good new stadiums that have great atmospheres.

Hull, Southampton, Brighton, Stoke, Swans Baadiff.

I would live LR to be redeveloped but its impossible and more financially viable to buy into something like the regeneration plans being talked about.
