Im like a broken record on here but I dont care.

Ok lets just say 5 years from now. We've been back in the Prem for 4 years, comfortable - a Stoke or Newcastle basically. We're in London with a growing fan base (Korean or not, it doesnt matter). Our stadium is still 18k.

So you're saying we should only then sit down and plan a new stadium. Search for land (which is at a premium now, let alone in 5 years), get the relevant permission to build, do the designs, go through various stages of discussions with local communitys, then find a company to build the damn thing. How long would that take? Another 5 years?

So we've been established for 4 years, and it would take us another 5 years minimum to get to a bigger stadium?

We are not building a stadium TODAY, we will not fill a 30k+ stadium TODAY, but in 5 years and with the right results on the pitch, I think we will. And very comfortably in fact.

Fill it with tourists like Fulham do? Dont we consistently give them abuse about it for a good reason?

I think the Emirates took ten years to build from conception to completion. Land in London is at a premium and opportunities like Park Royal City rarely come along.

          I say we do it!
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

It wont be 18k loyal supporters and 12k tourists, the local fan base will grow naturally as well - once we establish ourselves which is the *long term* goal. "We can only sell out against Man U this season, so lets not even think of a new stadium until 2020". Such short sightedness!

Factor in a proper Family section as well, with a bigger stadium there will be enough seats to make it work.

Going forward unless we get a new stadium with increased capacity we will end up a third tier team again ! Whilst we can't fill it currently we have to show ambition or we will get left behind, yes its a gamble but unless we do it we will end up a has been and subsequently never grow. As others have said these things take years to progress and build.

a new stadium would be suicide for us.

But isn't the gamble the risk, Swansea went up virtually debt free they built solid foundations. The chairman in an interview said the reason they play passing football is because it's cheaper, because every time a manager changes they get a new one who buys into the passing game so they never have to buy these marquee type of expensive players.

Clubs like Pompey and Leeds gambled and look at them.

TF gambled on high profile managers to keep us up. Failed
TF gambled on delegating jobs to so called experts to create an excellent transfer policy. Failed
TF gambled on expensive players with huge salaries to save us. Failed
Don't gamble on the existence of the club. Football fans don't fill stadiums week in week out because it's got a Chiquitos restaurent next to it and a multiplex Cinema and is on a rail line otherwise Ashford would be in the Champions league.
Fulham have got huge debts over £100m owed to the owner and they haven't even moved and are fixtures in the premiership.
If TF has a long term view then he should of capped salaries and not panic bought, if the last two years are anything to go buy then we might as well move into a purpose built stadium in Legoland Windsor.

You are all TOTALLY missing the point - Fernandes is building the new stadium so that he can land his new fleet of hover passenger jets in London and needs a big arrivals &departure lounge.

Leave Loftus Rd for a purpose built soulless ground , sit surrounded by tourists or empty seats, while " good bloke " Tony gambles with the future of our club, brilliant, then we can all go to the Frankie and Bennys ,next door . This is the future and I`m dreading it.
