  • who do you think you are kidding mr fernandes....................

your'e foolhardy ownership has set us on the road to oblivion and yet you still try to put up a smokescreen to try to appease those without common sense.....a 'shinny big new stadium' when we regularly cant even sell out 15000 home seats in the premier league??? get real ffs .....makes me wonder how you accumilated your wealth if you cant even see the wood for the trees here...qpr have never/will never get 30000 plus home gates as even in the best season in our history we rarely pulled in 28000+ for home matches even when the ticket prices were peanuts compared to today....mr fernandes i admire your quirky nature and apparent likeability but i fear you will ruin the club ive followed all my 48 years.....i live in a four bed room house, mostly alone, and really need somewhere smaller.....do we ,with 15000 home fans max, really need a bigger home??

We might fill such a stadium but only in the PL and building it while relegated from the PL for God knows how long only spells financial ruin IMHO.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

I disagree with your comments about filling a bigger stadium. It's about playing football at the highest level and more importantly being competitive at that level. Something we have just not seen in the last 2 years.

If we could get back up and build a decent side that would put a shift in, then a new stadium is a must. We could fill 30,000 with ease if they made it financially affordable. Pricing a top game at 60 pounds + is just not possible in this day and age. Fulham have it right and have a bigger home following.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

i agree with what you are saying in theory weare but qpr ,traditionally, never have had crowds in the 30000 region....i cant see fernades building 10000 'cheap seats' for the less well off after spending god knows how much on a new stadium......i fully understand the need to progress and as much as we love loftus rd its a bit antiquated yet until we have a 'waiting list' for season tickets i cant see the point in playing financial russian roulette which is what tf is doing!

We need to build a new ground as the current facilities are pretty appalling. Build a 30k stadium with the view to extend it.

agree fish! Reading have done it well, as they can build on theirs if they had a surprise return to the top flight and I think we should follow suit. Also shows the fans that the board really mean business- long term.

yes jfish i wouldnt be against the mkdons idea with perhaps extending stands not a massive problem if/when required....but the thought of 20000 in a 40000 stadium feels me with horror!

dpmd, I somehow don't think Facto is renting. The bloke own his house and is worth a fortune. He is my only hope with a couple of other rich rangers fans if Tony does walk the plank

In 74 through to 77 we had over 30,000 at Loftus Road for the big games, so don't say we never had, as we did and of course we could get bigger crowds if we were successful, Fulham now get regular crowds over 20,000 when they use to get 6-8,000 and The Scum use to get 8-9,000 crowds in the 80's and now get over 45,000. Success will bring in more people, although football on the whole is playing a game with fans and risks pushing them away, things like the 5.15 kick off for the FA Cup final are an insult to fans particularly if the clubs are from up north and #60.00 ticket prices are obscene and are starting to price people out.

People on here never happy always moaning, about something even if we won the premiership and cup and anything else they would still moan about something, we need a new multi purpose stadium, to generate money, plus I would think we would redevelop Loftus road ourselves and that in itself would generate more money rather than sell it to developers, and our owners are not stupid when it comes to business.

Establish ourselves as a stable premier league club and then build a stadium...anything else would be a waste of much needed funds.
