I think you are answering most people question that the Championship is Adel's level? he's a great talent, does magical things now and again, but thats the problem(NOW & AGAIN) not consistant enough where as Townsend's played maybe 10 games and already been more consistant than Adel in the time he's been here
Thats why no major club will touch Adel, because he's too inconsistant. if he leaves he'll prob end up at a mediocre prem or European club

I find that he's not a greedy now, passes the ball a lot more and some of his passes are unreal.

If I had to pick one it would still be Andros, as he is always on form.

Which Adel are we debating, the one that has done next to nothing in the last 24months or the one who rightly took the mickey in the championship.

I have to be honest and say should Adel stay and we come up again next season and we spent another two years in the prem and he stayed again I fear we would get another two years from him in the top flight as we have just had i.e. promises loads but when it comes down to it delivers very little.

Player with bags of potential and the ability to go where he likes in the game but the only person holding Adel back is Adel!!!!!!!

He's hitting 24 and still is classed as a player with potential that's a concern to me. I would have loved him to have a bigger impact in the prem I genuinely thought he would and bet loads of dosh with Chelsea mates that he would out score Lampard the last two seasons but his impact and consistency have let him down

For every unreal pass there is one like he done against Wigan where he kicked a freekick straight out for a goal kick.

The Adel I like is the one that used to get on the ball and carry it and drive forward we don't see that anymore from him. Also how many times did he score from outside the box or test the keeper in the championship with a shot that was one of his strengths since going up he appears to have lost that ability to hit the target.

Don't get me wrong I like him and would rather have him then be without him but his contribution the last two seasons does not merit the god status some place upon him. He should have been the first name on the team sheet for every manager the player the opposition feared the talisman of the team but instead of being that important to us he is now, if we are honest, one of the squad no more no less

Don't share the optimism regarding AT. Played well under NW but that was with the rest of the team under orders not to pass to him in our half, and everyone else letting him do as he wanted, and covering him. He was tbf head & shoulders above the rest at the time but now he's not and players and manager won't imo give him this status to do as he likes, because he doesn't produce as often anymore and i remember a few games in the championship where he was marked out of the game
