  • is this season the worst ever?

I think it is, when we were relegated in 96 we had lost sir les and gallen in the second game, that was poor .

when we went down to League 1 , it was probably the worst team i have seen but we were in administration.

this year has to be the worst, with all of the expectation, the money wasted on players who are not good enough , i cant wait for the sorry season to be over.

This season has taken away my enthusiasm for the game completely. In 2 years I've seen us win 7/8 games , watched MOTD less than a handful of times and stopped reading the sports pages last season in newspapers. Supporting this club is draining even our promotion season was over shadowed by the Faurlin court case. I dislike half our squad quite literally , think Fernandes is a clown and find myself now looking for excuses not to turn up to games despite having a season ticket which cost a grand. I can't talk about the club and avoid any conversation quickly started by others. We have been an embarrassment in the PL from start to finish...we need to find ourselves as a football club again!

This has been the worst ever season I've known , I don't want to re-new my ST next season i need a break from the club for a bit I've more important things to worry about now. I will be back when I'm good and ready , the thought off a few away days in the Championship to places like Brighton, Palace and Leeds is actually rather appealing. Maybe the summer will prove a time when I can reflect and become passionate about going Rangers again.

Agree with every word... Sick to the back teeth with the club. Tires me out, can't even be assed with posting on here... Not cause of the amount of dribble posted but I just find it a chore... Sad I know...

Not by a long shot, 78/79 our side was appalling and that after 75/76 and 76/77 when the football we played had been sublime. I believe we have a better side now than last season but Hughes left us with an almost impossible task. Thats football I'm afraid and we are the sort of side that will come and go in the top flight of football so I am sure we will have many more promotions and relegations in the coming years. Certainly not sick to the back teeth of my club that is for sure, we are a side with about 30-35,000 fans of which 50% turn up regularly, we are trying to get the club back in the big time but unfortunately it hasn't happened for us this season but we will come again and when we do those supporters will be there again, its what football clubs like ours is all about !

It is the worst simply because nobody expected us to be relegated with all the money and big names signed. Some of us even talked about top half whereas when we were in League1 (the old Div1), we knew we would struggle due to adminstration!

Whilst I can understand/empathise with many of the points the OP raised I think that this is also a fair overview of being an R's fan.... However, it certainly doesn't help being a fan with so much expectation and I know it shouldn't affect us but with everyone being so skint it really sticks in the craw when these geezers are on fortunes and don't appear to give two hoots...:(

I can honestly say, possibly the two least enjoyable seasons for me, out of the last 38.

Going down to League One was worse. Getting relegated out of the Prem for the first time was worse.
'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.

Well maybe this isn't an acceptable thing anymore. I'm sick to the back off my teeth with what a joke of a club we are with the constant pantomime and circus what surrounds us.

'Typical QPR', 'Same old Rangers' etc etc we are a ****ing embarrassment and it's about time more fans realised it as its got to change

This........QPR is/has never been straight forward. I think the difficulty that some are having is we bought high profile players that should have delivered more, much more. You go other boards and they all talk about who they'd take from us, i think a lot of those fans from other clubs love it that we bought these players and have fallen flat on our faces, cause they couldn't buy them.
But we also expected more too.
The drop to league 1 was worse imo

I would much rather support our so called joke of a club than any other club, particularly any of the big 6 and Chelsea and Fulham, ok so it hasn't been great this season or last but that is exactly what QPR is ! And why should it change, I want regular Premiership football, so my kids get the same buzz as I did growing up in the 70's but whatever division we are in I will be supporting the R's and hopefully so will my kids and so it goes on !

78/79 was poor, but falling down to league one (third div to me) was the worse time, Wilkins pis *ing Ferdinands £6m up the wall and ending in relegation was low too
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!
