  • Our record in Park's last seven league games

Some food for thought based on a news article I read today (http://sports.news.nate.com/view/20130413n01424).

Since HR became our manager, Park has played in seven league games for us. Our record in those games:

    3 Wins, 3 Draws, 1 Loss

At a glance, it may just look like a decent record. However, think of it from the context that we have only had 4 league wins during this entire season. Also note that there is only 1 loss from those 7 games.

I think the record speaks for itself. Based on the above and his recent performances, I think that Park should start in all the remaining games if he is fit.

Of course, it probably is too little, too late.

Park certainly deserves his share of the blame along with MH and all the other players on the team for their terrible run under MH.

I think that HR managed to get the broken team into a clunkily working one and successfully reinforced it with the signings of Remy, Townsend, Jenas, Samba. The team also received a boost from the return of Zamora and Bosingwa. At that point, I think we had the players needed for fighting off relegation.

This became most evident after we won 2 games and almost won a third. It appeared we had found our winning team. Park was part of that very functional team.

However, for reasons only HR would.know, he made various changes to the team in the following games which ultimately did not pay off.

So from starting a thread insinuating Park was the reason we went on a run, you woke up yourself to the fact that one man doesnt make a team, and that Park was just part of the reason

That's not bad at all, should give him another go as we have nothing to lose.

I never insinuated that Park was the SOLE reason we went on a good run. What I did do was point out the obvious correlation between HR playing Park and getting good results.

Our team under HR rarely won without Park playing (only once), and almost never lost when he was playing (only once). This means that Park was an essential part our winning team, and it seems you agree with that.

So apart from the seven games under Harry then how about the other 10 league appearances he has had this season? oh yer we lost every game. Lets not juggle the stats and facts just to suit shall we?

What about record in last seven games during which the wind was blowing in the north-eastern direction? About as much input/relevance for the outcome on the pitch

I already discussed that above with blue and white.

As for "juggling stats", the news article I came across only discussed the stats under Harry Redknapp's management, so I thought about and discussed them in that context as well.

Since the early season under MH had very little that could be called "successful" or "winning", it is logical to try to find our answers from the more successful latter half of the season under HR.

If you have more to add, I would ask that you stay on topic and discuss the season and team under HR.

lol dont think so but thanks for the advice :-)
Was this news article from a Korean publication? did they not mention his very poor record playing under Hughes? Do they also like to juggle the stats to make Park look like a key player? :-) have they also missed the games where he has been sh1t and cant seem to stay on his feet? jumped out of tackles? looked a shadow of the player that used to play for United? just wondered.
