I always thought Townsend was a diehard Spurs fan and is desperate to get into the spurs first team. Can't see him dropping a league especially considering he's become noticed in the premiership. Players at the end of their career like Bellamy drop a division for their boyhood clubs but not players in their prime like Townsend and especially not to a club he has no affiliation to. He owes us nothing, been great and like Walker needs to move on to another level for his career and that's not playing Derby.

Spurs won't need to deal if there's a clause.....get used to seeing him in another shirt

As long as we get back the money we paid for him, I am happy. He'll be sold.

Remember Zamora was around the 6 million mark and I think that should say it all.
True and I think his goals for QPR have shown what he is capable of at this level. I would value him in the £16-20M bracket too, but it probably all depends on his release clause. It could be that it was agreed at the same price that QPR paid for him if they go down.

Townsend would be great as part of the deal, but I dont even think Tottenham will even consider letting him leave after what he has done for QPR. He was only loaned to QPR for Prem legaue experience much the same as Wilshere was from Arsenal to Bolton.
