As said above - think it's safe to assume he'd do well, perhaps even very well, at a top mid/low top side in the Prem.

But my main frustration with the anti-tarbs idea is the idea that he can't cut it in the prem...it's not about "not cutting it" it's about having players around him that can help. in the champ he pretty much dragged us to the title - 20 goals, 20 assists...now i'm not going to say for one second that everyone else was useless but they certainly werent as good as him (perhaps Faurlin prior to MK Dons)

in the prem, where he rightly gets shut down, man marked, targeted, pushed back etc...what is everyone else doing for him? Him and Remy look like a very good pairing - and theyve got some goals between them working as a pair...but i can't help but notice most of the play AT picks up is in his own half. Fans get on his back for not tracking back but then he's not upfront. He can't be expected to go on these mazey runs anymore...

I'd rather see him play up front - but more importantly - see him get better service.

He hasnt been able to consistently do in the Premier League what he did in the Championship simply because of the vastly different calibre of the teams between the divisions.

He'll tear the Championship apart (again) if he stays with us.

If he wants to stay and play in the Championship, I would keep him. We know he can score goals at that level and create chances an let's face it, QPR will need all the attacking ability he has to win promotion again.

If QPR can sign defenders and midfield players willing to graft, and add in a decent Championship goalscorer (Bothroyd can probably still do a good job if he stays), then Taarabt can have another great season in the Championship.

Tend to agree with most of the above.

I, like most fans, get frustrated with his set pieces, but he is a good enough player for the Premiership. He has 5 goals this season, 3 more than last season and if he was not asked to track back so much, he would probably have been more of an attacking force.

I have said before on here, that his ability was being held back by asking him to do more defensive work. He should not be tracking back much further than 40 yards from his own goal.

I would like him to play for us in The Championship unless a big money offer comes in which I think is doubtful! He has been inconsistent in the Premier League but how many of our players haven't been, hence the position we're in!

The ongoing Adel debate! He has given us some amazing memories with some of what he has done but for me he isn't quite there at Premiership level. As others have said playing in a better team might work for him. For us we have to accommodate him and his set plays are mainly awful as is his shooting, not withstanding the all too rare moments of magic. We look much better without him, albeit useful as an impact sub. His plus sides, running with the ball, flashy step overs etc great to watch but for me at this level too much of a luxury bearing in mind negatives.

In our Championship season we built our team around him and just about got away with it. I think this time around we would have a better overall team (even allowing for obvious departures) so would maybe not be such a struggle. There were a number of games we were labouring and he got us through with some magic. Maybe we wouldn't have laboured so much if we had played a better system as we have been at this level of late. I therefore wouldn't mind us selling him on but am open minded on keeping him, particularly if 'Arry stays as he has the balls to drop him if need be which generally didn't happen before.

The problem with selling him is that don't we have to give Spurs 40%? He hasn't done well enough consistently to demand a 10m plus fee unless a middle eastern team or Russian team come in for him. So say for example Newcastle offer £5m and we except it and give Spurs £2m imo that would be criminal to let him go for £3m. Let's face it there is no one on this planet who you could buy for £3m with the ability Adel has.

As the months have gone by since Harry has been here, each week Adel is getting worse. When he plays he isn't playing his own game, more concentrating about playing it simple, not taking people on, and that is just not him. A player like that needs to be told to play off the striker and go express yourself and win us games, but in the position we are in we can not afford that. All this talk about he can not cut it in the prem is rubbish, he would flourish in a better team without no relegation worries and better players around him. As I said in another thread, he won't play for Man U or Man City, but for a big mid table club he would be a great player. He is already proven he can be that main man in premiership games, the game against Fulham at home, and for his second goal I will tell you now NO other player in this league would of thought of doing that or would have pulled it of with such ease.

Will he be here next season? I hope so. What is going in our favor is that he hasn't played well consistently so teams may not take a punt on him, and he is under a long contract. He may want to be the big fish in a small pond again also. But I am sure there is 1 club in Europe who is bigger and better than QPR who are willing to to take a chance on him. It will be sad to see him go as for me he has been our best player since the mid 90s, and has provided me and I am sure most of you some memories we will never forget.

I very much want to agree with you, but I can also see signs of him being found out now?? Am I right or am I wrong on this? IMO, He can also develop into an even better player, If he can improve his "step-overs".
But like you, most of all, I want him to stay with us IF he can do the team better aswell.

PS. The memories of Tarrabt at QPR are something I will cherish for ever, no doubt about that.

Would absolutely love to keep Adel in the CCC - tore that league a new jam roll last time around & he could well be the difference (again) in getting promotion or not. However, can't see we have any chance of holding onto him tbh.

And yea I agree a tiny chance, but in reality think he will be long gone. And at a fraction of the cost we once would have got for him, with Spurs getting 40% I can't see it being worth our while selling him, financially. But I reckon he will want out. Can't blame him!

To be honest this whole debate is getting boring, I am very much in the not good enough for the prem camp but neither camp will ever accept the others position. He will be lucky to get a move to the prem, more likely a mid table French side as mentioned above, which to be honest is about his level.

Those that say he'd be great at a top club because of the better players around him, I disagree with that. Sure it will be easier for him, it would also be easier for Shaun Derry to play for Man U. End of the day, he is a hit n miss player. One of the most inconsistent footballers I've seen. Lets not forget that during the amazing season where he "single handedly got us promoted" how many games did he have an absolute stinker? Plenty! However I personally hope he stays, he's been our best player for the last several years & he would be the difference between fighting for a play off spot or automatic promotion.

To all the' He's the best player I've ever seen at Loftus Road" I feel sorry for you because he is not fit too be in the same room as our true legends.
