So at the end of the day taking everything in account including parachute payments, tickets and sponsorship etc do you think we are going to come out of the league making a bit of dough or have we s punked it all???

Papers would lead us to believe its all gone but im not convinced

Next season apparently the parachute payment increases. And the team that finishes bottom next season gets the same payment as Man City got last season for winning the league :rage: hence why were dropping the wrong season as whoever goes down next season is going to have some war chest to get back up

I thought there was a cap on spending in the football league?

Transfer revenue: £2.213.200 Transfer expenditures: £44.308.000 = -£42.094.800. Wages jumped from £27.6m to £56m in the year to 31 May 2012 and have gone through the roof since. So I would say - yes we have spunked it. People can come on here and talk about the fact we are bank rolled, but we don't see the details of that, so in terms of money in for PL status and out - we have spent it all, including the parachute payments.

That isn't even taking into account the cost of the manager dismissals and appointments, or their salaries.

well surely the fact we have very wealthy owners must come into it, or otherwise Tony wouldn't be issuing statements about keeping 'Arry and key players, and going for a quick return

yes we are bankrolled, as is every big club in some form...that's the real and simple fact....all this stuff in recent years..
revenue, profit etc, is all besides the point. brutal honesty in the prem (man U aside...different setup), how rich are your owners
and how commited. Billionaires don't make their money from football. they spend money on it.

there will be all kinds of manoeuvres round fair play rules, as ultimately, if not eufa are slowing starving their own business of
massive external finance. no one turns down money offered to them

They always say one season in the prem is worth £60mil so we've had two seasons so that's £120mil

I don't think we have spent £42mil on players??? first season back and August of this year most the signings were free transfers. Yes we done some dough in January but not mental amounts.

If we have done £42mil that's £20mil a season that's not masses its probably on a par with others

No they don't. People misguidedly say that it is worth 60 million, when in fact that is the value of being promoted as it includes the parachute payments. This year being our second year in the Prem is not worth any where near as much.
