  • How many relegations have you been involved with at Rangers..........

    This will be my 3rd.

1st - West Ham at home in '96

    2nd - Huddersfield away in '01

    3rd - sometime this season

Remember coming back from Huddersfield and feeling dreadful. A huge turn out from Rangers that day. I remember us losing 2-1 and they were going mental as they thought they would be staying up. Glad they ended up coming back down with us.

Good days and bad days in football. This is going to be a dark day for Rangers when that day comes. Just think in a year's time we could be feeling on top of the world as we come back to the Premiership! All clubs have good days and bad days. Sadly relegation is part and parcel of football.

I remember Forest away in '96 for the last game of the season when we were already done and all the Rangers were singing 'Daydream Believer.' Great support that day and makes you feel good why we support our club. Rough with the smooth.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

It's a horrible feeling. My biggest worry with relegation is that it just lingers for months. The Championship starts on 3rd August. The board/manager need to react quickly. They can't mope around feeling sorry for themselves. They need to regroup and get a squad together which will be capable of getting us back up. Pre season will start mid June. That gives the board/manager 4 weeks to get over from relegation and start getting the players ready for the slog of the Championship. We have to start well next season. We start badly and the season will just be another disaster.
