                          well

its so very wonderfull talking about our football careers, its not really what level you played it its more about how much fun you had
i liked to play at a low level and be a superstar at the lowest of lowest levels so many refs used to shake my hand and say
WOW YOUVE PLAYED IN HIGHER LEAGUE THAN THIS HAVENT YOU
of course compareing me with weare or chris robson would bev ridiculous they are ten times more better than i ever was but
the fun level of dribbling through seven players and scoring was absolutely brilliant
the funniest story that i can remember is that 20 years after i retired i went and bought a full football kit and a brand new leather ball, one of my little tricks was to kick a ball longer and harder than anyone else at my level.
so i used to take the goal kicks and launch these monster punts that used to drop right in front of the opposition goalie we scored so many goals from this tactic
SO I TOOK A LONG RUN UP AT THE VERY PITCH THAT I USED TO PLAY AT I HIT THIS BALL WITH SO MUCH POWER
BUT THE BALL ONLY WENT ABOUT 25 YARDS
i couldnt believe it i was heart broken so i never kicked another ball again
