Worked for DHL for a while during the 80's recession and played for their Sunday team, got taken away for corporate tournaments too with travel and hotels paid for UNTIL we ended up having a few late late drinks in the senior managers room, when he fell asleep I turned or the pay-as-you watch 'ADULT' channel and left it playing when we all left the room. He went balistic in reception in the morning ......... Someone must have grassed me up as I never got another game after that weekend in Leeds

Story of my life really, if I didn't fleck about so much it could have tuned out so so different

When I had my first part time job at the local Megabowl I played for our "branch" in their silly little national 5 a side tournament up in Birmingham. My boss was a total helmet there and I see his boots on the side before our first game, a few feet away from a mouldy old orange. Obviously, I seized this opportunity to stuff the manly old citrus I to the toe end of his fresh size 11 Puma Kings. He went radio rental when he put em on bit to this day never found out it was fatty matty.

For us that would mean around 29k."

Lone in this order if you want a serious post.

                          Brian Bedford

                          Me

                          Chris Robson.

Bet Brian could still get into our message board 5 aside. Some of the Vet's are still quality even with no pace.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Stopped playing 11 aside, but still like 5 aside these days.

My biggest achievement was marking Dj campbell out of the game when he played for yeading. Some might smell bs but I am 100% telling the truth.

i played when boots were black/white.(kings,world cup.)
played sunday football with a bunch of drug crazed, alcoholic misfits from ladbroke grove for years-goalie needed a toot before every game!! got a couple of games with a school in an old boys league(saturdays) but got sent off in both(nearly decapitated some forward in the 2nd game) and was politely asked to never come back.
tried to play 5 aside about 3 years ago and nearly had a cardiac but am now a top level armchair player.
