  • How will you respond to relegation?

Maybe I'll get enthused come the summer if we re-build in a sensible way but right now tempted to scale back my interest in the Rs for a while. Before someone accuses me of being a plastic fan or sulking or whatever I've followed the team since 76 and have had my fair share of *****y away days and miserable Saturday nights. Just feel at the moment with a busy time at work and not enough hours in the day to do all I'd like I don't actually get much enjoyment from following the Rs (rocking tho the atmosphere was second half). True, I promised never to think such thoughts again after Liverpool and Stoke last season but it doesn't look as if we will have such a miracle this time. I know some fans will say I'm fair weather but my interest has peaked and fallen over the years (fanatical in the eighties, more removed in the 90s as other aspects of life took over and then re-enthused over the last decade or so). Just not enthused by Barnsley away straight after the Prem - sorry. You realise how peripheral, irrelevant the Championship is to most people.

Are other fans at all like this or are you all more constant?

Rangers till I die, another season another ambition, quite enjoy singing 'Championes'
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

I'd be saying the same if we were in the conference mate. Can't get enough of going to the football.

Exactly mate. Through thick & thin n all that. Being the age I am, my whole QPR supporting life has been pretty $hit so I'm not about to give up during the most exciting time in my memory (potential for future wise, ie Fernandes & co on board) just because we have dropped out of the top flight.

Stains.... I know exactly what you mean and along with many I think, I accepted our fate months ago although remained open to be shocked.... In a way I'm pig sick as I have a 6yr old son whom I have been doing my best to tempt him into being an R's fan and when we went up a couple of seasons ago and with all the financial muscle at our disposal I thought here we go..... How wrong can I have been....

I'll be honest I can't wait for the Ashes to begin.....

OK maybe its just me then. If I had written that post when we were down in league one, on the way back from watching us getting tonked by Gilllingham, I probably would have said to my current self "you are everything I despise about spoiled Premier fans." But now I think back to all the aimless punts up field, hopeful knocks down the channels and misplaced two feet passes from Bean, Leigertwood and co and just think "you've got better things to do with your Saturday afternoons than watch a repeat of all of that." Feel guilty saying it as no one cd have shown more commitment than Tony Fernandez to our club and he deserves the backing of fans, but football should be a pleasure not a duty and for me its tipping more towards duty at the moment - don't really want to go to Wigan but know I will because I think I should...

hope ticket prices are reduced so i can come up to a few home games during uni term times rather than only being restricted to only being able to watch them on uni breaks
i supported qpr in the glory days when chris kiwomya and michael ngonge played up front

Quite looking forward to the champs again - sort of missed it the last two seasons tbh.

Won't make a blind bit of difference to us

Maybe if prices drop a bit it we could fit in a few more games, but no prices ever go down

Regardless of which league, which manager, which players - still the same old R's. Win or lose I just enjoy the shared experience with friends and now my lad
