I'd have Warnock back in a heartbeat. It's a no-brainer if Harry is off.

It was clear that there was a lot of flack flying about behind the scenes at Leeds...... and what he did for us has gone down in history.

His biggest problem last year was that he had his hands well and truly tied by Tango and Cash from the outset..... which lead to rash signings like Barton..... which ruined the balance/spirit of the team. But, to be honest, what have we seen that's any better?

tango and cash were selling the club, you expect them to hand him money to spend?

he was given plenty in the championship by those "baddies" tnago and cash,

he got mackie, hulse, smith, derry, hill, tarrabt, plus miller and routlege and walker on loan. those meanies tango and cash spent the most money out of all the teams in our championship winning season.

A lot of revisionism here from Warnock. By the time Hughes arrived there was barely any 'team' left to destroy. I take it most of this thread have long since forgotten MK Dons away in Jan last year?

Warnock loaned out Hill and replaced him with Anton on silly money.

Warnock anointed Barton as his chosen one, and let him bully Adel.

Warnock brought in SWP on silly money when any half decent scouting network could have identified numerous better right-wingers available for well under half the price.

        etc.

Sure, these buys were slightly forced by the takeover only happening a few days before deadline day, but let's not pretend things were rosy under Warnock. If anyone dismantled the 2010/11 team, it was him.

In many ways the Hughes team of late last season was closer to the promotion side than the team under Warnock in November/December. Hughes brought Hill, Derry, and Taarabt back in the side...

I do agree with most of that . But I don't think it's necessarily revisionist - but rather moving towards pragmatism.

Let's face it - we are all but down. Warnock has proven to be more than capable of consolidating the base and getting us up. Sure it probably involves passing the ball to Adel (quite a lot) - but it was Warnock who saw that as an effective strategy with the combos of the Derry's, Hill's, and Hieder's (God bless him) of the world.

So to summarise: Next year we need to be playing spit and sawdust football - with a bit of Adel thrown in if we are to return to the PL. Warnock would be very much the man to facilitate that if Harry buggers off............

Although....... You have to say....... What a ****** mess........

Agree. Also ref Right wingers, he had a clearly very capable one at the club in Puncheon and gave him about 10 mins gametime...... Did well for Blackpool and brilliantly for Saints in the prem.... another NW oversight he seems to forget.

              Hill or Derry?
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
