I think that's the general consensus tbf and kind of the jist I tried getting across in my $hit 1st post

I was just thinking this when I read this thread......I really haven't enjoyed many games since we've been back in the premier league...even when we won I've had a feeling that it was a one off rather than a concerted run of form.

Don't get me wrong.....I'd take PL survival but something has to change at our club......whether it be our apparent' knee jerk' signing policy or the management team, I don't know.

there's only one place to be at that's the Premiership, for that we can thank tango and cash, our troubles began when they failed to back NW in the transfer market

I will be gutted if/when we go down. I want to see our team compete with the best, worldwide coverage, etc etc.

Yes if we go down we will win more games next season (hopefully), be cheaper to get in and easier to get tickets, but f**k watching all those horrible footballing northern sides, and having to stay up to midnight to watch the football league show.

Also all this talk about bouncing straight back up is rubbish. I am sure Wolves and Blackburn thought the same this season, likewise Leeds, Coventry etc etc over recent years.

If we do manage to stay up some how, we do have a squad to compete in this league at least mid table (hard to believe I know), it's down to the clown Hughes that these players have underachieved, and in my opinion Harry aint done much better either.

Not saying I want relegation, just saying I enjoy seasons when we are fighting at the top of a very competitive and big league to those desperately trying not to be a laughing stock in a bigger, really boring procession of a league full of t.wat fans.

Just throwing a silver lining out there guys!

Don't agree. Most people here though that this season and the season before. It is not down to MH alone - it is down to the team being run by well intentioned, but utterly clueless (in terms of football), people using that club as a play thing. Pay average, lazy players more than they could get at top clubs and put them alongside players on a fifth of their wage won't work in any team in the world.

Short memory Matty, perhaps? Did you enjoy Championship when we were s*** for many seasons and finally got relegated?
PL for me, ''where every match is a competition''.

Nope of course not, but I don't think (risking famous last words here) we would be in anything like that position next season in the CCC so, for me, it's an entirely different kettle of fish. Not saying we would runaway with the league at all as it's a right tough old league, but I think we would win a fair few games and be up there - which would obviously be a whole lot more enjoyable for us than watching us lose near on every week to $hit like Villa & Foolham, all whilst paying £40 for the privilege.

Every match isn't a competition for us in the PL thoguh, which is my point, we have only won 4 out of 31. If we were a mid table kind of side, or even in the position of somebody like Soton this season, I wouldn't agree at all about the CCC being more enjoyable - but seeing as we are rolling over and dying most weeks, I, personally, haven't found the PL (on the pitch) particularly enjoyable. Just my own take on it anyway, each to their own n all that obviously.

Err right. It is about the most predictable league outside of Scotland and Spain. It is nothing like a competition. Top teams are light years ahead - to the point that success for the 2nd tier is the mere chance of coming fourth - to the point they sacrifice trophy chances for that "honour". How can it be competitive when we have won 4 games.....that is nothing like competitive.

As for us not being **** in the PL next season - how do you know that - nearly everyone here said the same at the end of last season.

What about the German league? Terriblely uncompetative league.
                          Waits for the bite........

I want our club to do well, but if we go down it won't be the end of the world. Sometimes you gotta take one step back to take two steps forward. The only way to fix this disgusting mess and shambles of a team is to take a break from the Prem, repair and come back more stable and stronger. The champ is a lot more fun anyway haha!
"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

I understand you are kidding, but it is still worth a comment......7 winners in 10 years and another team 2nd twice..... sounds like the best league in Europe to me.

While the fat cats get all the tv revenue and we go bankrupt, yeah great fun can't wait!

You misunderstood, I meant bring on the championship where we can have normal kick off times and have 7 or 8 pints before the game, win and go and have the same again. We haven't had that many 3pm on a Saturday this year.

Will miss the publicity we get in the prem buts that it.
