At the end of the day we will most likely go down, as sickening a thought as that may be, however, come August we will all be awaiting the start of another season with renewed optimism. The Championship is no easy league so those thinking we can just walk back up are very naive, however, i think our squad does have a lot of quality (even though they've underperformed) and even if we lose some players, we should still have better players than those in the Championship and be in the mix for sure.
IT would be good for the current regime to experience a season with some success so from that end a year in the championship, if it was ultimately successful, could then allow us to come back into the prem on a high with a better assessed plan of action to retain prem status. Ever since Tony came in it's been haphazard and reactive with apparent knee jerk reaction signings etc. We need to change this.
That said, the fat bird in our office is not signing which tells me it's not over yet. There could be a couple of sides who dont win another game all season and can be caught, who knows, but we must beat Wigan on Sunday that much is definitely clear, and if Villa lose to Stoke it would only be 4 points again, so nothing is decided yet.Last edited by Del; 03-04-2013, 11:10 AM.Comment
