Actually, Park also assisted a goal in the Carling Cup, so he has 4 assists so far this season out of 17 games, tied for the most assists in the team.

Everyone (including Park himself) expected more from him this season, but Park's performance has not been nearly as terrible as some people continue to insist.

Most importantly, Park has been playing quite well since recovering from his injury. As long as he can maintain that form or improve it, I don't think anyone in their right mind can argue against keeping him in the starting lineup (and on the payroll) during and after this season.

Ahh forgot about that assist in the carling cup, don't think I was able to see that game.

HR seems to agree with us as well:

"HR - I've been very, very happy with Ji and like I say, he's playing really well for us at the moment.
HR - I've not spoken to Ji about retirement. It's the first I've heard. He's playing very, very well. He's a legend in Korea."

To be fair most of our players have only started to play well in the last month or so, why single out one player?

If he can assist a few more goals for us, I will not be complaining.

I agree, everyone has been playing better lately. I am very impressed by Townsend for example and Remy is the centre forward we need.

As for why HR would mention Park for the second time since he has been here. I could only speculate but I think HR has been reluctant to play Park because of the boos he got from our fans.

Many posters on here abused Park recently, and wanted him to leave and f*** off. Just take a look in the other "retirement" thread where people can't seem to read and then take it as a fact that he is going to retire at the end of the season.

As a team we have been playing well with him in the team. I'm not saying he is a key player and we need him to play well, but the fact is team looks good now. Wanting him out now is a little bit hard to understand. I don't think he should start every game but if he keeps playing well he should start for most of the games.

From all the players that have been starting lately Park is one of the few who is still getting abuse.
