but with a bit more optimism

I think we already fulfilled our this season's quota of the extremely bizarre, from August to November.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

...but that was negative bizarre, it's positive bizarre that is now needed!

To achieve the bizarre balance, makes sense

It is just message boards really - posts swinging between euphoria and despair - something about the web amps it times a million.
But while football is mad and unpredictable (and this season lots of no shows from the players has added to that) it is possible to make reasonable predictions.
Just go to be realistic... and take it all with a pinch of salt too

While it is possible to make a reasonable prediction, it won't count for anything. Look at Blackburn beating Man Utd last year or Man City destroying united, or wigan surviving the last few seasons, or us being ahead against man city until the 90th minute. Ultimately, while we can make any prediction we want about being favourites to go down, it will mean nothing if the fans and players fight for our right to be in this league and that is the whole point of this thread

Just a shame the players hadnt decided to fight a few months ago. We have been sh1t nearly all season and are deservedly bottom of the league for being the worst team in the league. Some fans just need to accept it...... we had to rely on other teams to keep us up last season and this season we are in a worse predicament. Our position is down to the players/board/management and has fcall to do with the fans. Bookies have got us odds on going down for a reason...always a chance when its still mathmatically possible but its also mathmatically possible that i am going to win the euro lotto 3 weeks on the trot but im not holding out much hope either.

I must admit I was very optimistic during the summer when players like Granero, Hoillett and Park were signed and mates who supported other teams thought we would do well.

All in all though it has been a season to forget........except for that night in SW6

Exactly this. Came into the season full of optimism - only for that to be shot down massively in a proper $hit season on the pitch. Had a right good bubble travelling the country with me pals on away days, mind - experienced the nightlife in some right old dives

Miss those days myself mate. Always a good way to try and forget the s*it result when you stay away for the night and go on the lash.

We can all use stats to make a picture look more rosey. Yes we have won 2 from 3 but so have villa. We also won 0 from 16. Probability and our inability to score enough goals will mean we will go down. It will be with a fight which is better than it would have been if Hughes was still here!

Inability to score enough goals?????!!!!, have you been living under a rock for the last few weeks, we put 2 past Southampton, 3 past Sunderland and 2 past villa in our last three matches. and you state it wouldn't have been better with Hughes yet you insist on bringing up our record with him. We have signed new players who can score goals and we have clearly improved significantly since January, something no other team around us except Newcastle can say, not even villa have improved as they have simply been lucky recently. Probability won't dictate our season, our performances will and if we keep going the way we have been recently, then we will stay up

because unlike most other teams we added more quality in january?....possibly?
