If Chelsea truely want to be a big player in 15, 25 and 50 years plus without the reliance on the Rubel man they need to get their move right and going to a part of London with next to no competition has to be a serious consideration for them.
Regardless of their recent success in my view Arsenal and Spurs remain the two stella clubs in London followed by them

dont mind the legroom at loftus road used to stand up for two hours in the old days think the ground gives us something. some games last year i am sure were won helped by the ground puts some of the superstars off remember bale going into the crowd? chelsea walking in? would take 12000 rangers fans over 29000 people at a ground any day if that means championship football bring it on!

As I am a Maltese supporter, I do not understand much about the area. However, it amazes me that some supporters do not realy want to see Rangers grow. I mean, what's the point in having a footabll club....first and foremost is to enjoy winning and be succesfull as much as possible. I understand the point that the club belong to some particular area; about the tourists and so on. But hey....when I come to London to watch QPR, I will be a tourist too...so where will that leave me? Am I am not welcomed? I can assure every one one on this site that I have been supporting QPR for almost 50 years. I enjoyed the glory days, not much I have to say, and the bad days as well. But I have always remained loyal, although I do not contribute much to the cause. But please, open up and feel proud that more new people join in to support the club. Maybe one day we will see a very succesfull Rangers side that make us all proud.

Don't you think it's you and other fans that go regularly that put oppo players off rather than the stadium? There are ways of building a new stadium that can still generate a hostile atmosphere, and as i say its the supporters not the ground. I love having the owners we have that for the first time in donkey's years have made it exciting and got fans believing we are trying to achieve something, although i realise it's only about beating relegation for the last 2 seasons, but tbh these signings should have achieved more....mid-table at least imo.

I think you make a good point, but I also would hate to watch Rangers play alongside people whose weekend wasn't totally ruined by a poor result....

If they find a plot in the south then they have an even bigger catchment area as in SW London other then AFC Wimbledon at a push Palace there are no other clubs between them and the coast.

I talk on Rangers all the time, at home, with friends at work, on this site......if its for me, QPR will be the best in the world! When friends or relatives meets me, its not how are you, but how are QPR doing. In Malta, most of the people I know, take some interest in Rangers not because they have any affection for the R's, but because of me. Now that's the biggest insult I have ever received from a supposed genuine QPR fan. Do you sincerely beleive you're helpinh the cause?
Hopefully that clarifies it for you too Dave

Am I correct in understanding from this thread that what most people want is a ground similar to Loftus Road but more comfortable, more modern, but not so big that the atmosphere is lost. I was looking at the information on LA Galaxy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Home_Depot_Center. The football stadium is only 28,000 but there are lots of other facilities. If the Club finds a place which is easy to get to by tube or bus, being in London it will attract lots of other events.
